This is the best training i have ever done in the medical industry all the staff were brilliant made to feel warm and welcome, also the training is in depth and they are so informative and give really good advice and scenarios which helps with the training.I also have dyslexia and i have had great support through understanding the terminology as well as support whilst on the course to have a better understanding of what was required prior to assessments. I have been doing my FREC 3 and FREC 4 with Matt and his team and really can't thank them enough for everything they have done.kind regardsandy

Email 2 of 2After the test Jerry said that if i fail a third time my contract would be withdrawn. He told me that it had happen to someone else and didn’t want it to happen to me. He said why don’t you pay me for my time do the third test off the record so to say in which case the ambulance service would not know.I took him up on the offer and asked how much this would cost me. He told me that it would cost £220 and they he couldn’t do it any cheaper because his boss would not allow it.I arranged with Laura Clarke at the office for the third test. When it came to the payment Laura asked me for £450 plus vat. I explained that Jerry had offered me a price for £220 with no training, he would just come for the test. They amended the invoice and charged me £220 plus vat.On the day of the 3rd attempt for the practical test thinking that this would not be my last attempt i was exptremly nerbous as it had been a week since I failed the second time. I said to Jerry that i was feeling really nervous and could he give me some words of wisdom or anything. He said that they say a banana helps before the test and that i will be ok.I unfortunately failed at my 3rd attempt for being in the wring lane on a roundabout. It was a morning test and busy and the road markings were on the ground and I couldn’t see because they were covered. I took it on the chin as i only has 2 minors and i knew i was extremely close to passing the test. I had some training with another company set up and when i spoke with them, they notified me that Jerry was badmouthing me at the test centre. Type guy works for a training company called Metcalfe HGV & LGV training. I believe his name was Micheal. After the test Jerry and i had a conversation and he told me he would call me when he got back to the office so we could arrange for another practical test. He wasn’t to call me and again i had to call the office and speak with Laura. I explained to Laura that i was paying a lot of money for the training. She told me i was talking i over her and hung up the phone. I called back and asked to speak with Jerry directly thinking that Jerry would honour our agreement. It was not to happen as they has all decided to do the disingenuous thing and notify the ambulance service that i had failed my 3rd attempt.I was shocked and horrified to have received an email from the recruitment team to say that could not continue the process. I was supposed to start my training on January 8th 2024. Not only have i lost the opportunity i have also lost my existing job because i had handed in my notice.Although the ambulance service will point you towards basegreen please note that you do not have to use them. You can look around and find someone much better and cheaper. These guys at basegreen are terrible, they do not have the right people who care and help you genuinely to pass. The vehicles they use are of the poorest quality but worst is the fact that the trained i so so poor that they are not worth you spending your hard earned money with.If you care about your future and want to pursue the career of your dreams then please please do not use basegreen and you will not be forced to. The ambulance service will give you a choice of completing your C1 on your own. Do not sign that piece of paper that the ambulance service provide as you would be directed to Basegreen. They are truly a terrible company.

I have completed many courses here at Basegreen and I found that their trainers are very knowledgeable the equipment is state of the art and of high specification and prepares you for the role you are going to undertake.

Email 1 of 2This is one of the worst training centres i have ever come across. They have a contract with YAS (ambulance service) to help train people to pass the compulsory C1 training which includes a theory test and a practical test. They are contracted to take almost £1500 for a 2 day training course. On the first day you are invited to their Barnsley offices and then an instructor will spend 3 to 4 hours you will then take your reverse manoeuver test. On day 2 you are taken for another 3-4 hours and then there is the practical test. The training provided is abysmal to say the least. You will be introduced firstly to a gentleman called Jerry Andrew’s . He is not very well presented(yellow teeth)always seems to be vaping at every moment. You will find that he has very little knowledge, will take you out and not explain anything, he will not guide you or prepare you in anyway for your test. To him and his team you are all but another candidate that the ambulance service sent through. He has a background of working at the ambulance service before he was involved in an accident. He mentioned that the ambulance service paid him a large amount of money and now this training is easy money. He works very closely with a lady called Laura Clarke who has the worst customer service you can imagine. To get her to book a test date for you is almost impossible. She will never return your calls and most recently put the phone down on me because i was chasing her up for a test booking.I passed my theory test and then moving onto the practical test, due to the below par service and training i failed the first test.I then booked in a second test closer to home. On that day Jerry should have come to meet me at the Steeton Test Centre at 9am. He turned up at around 10.45am with my test being at 1.15pm.I called through to the office to find out if he was coming and they told me he is on his way.For the 2 hours that he took me out again no quality training no nothing. Hardly communicated with me. When i asked him, you’re not saying much about my driving does that mean that im good enough he said yes and that was that.We stopped at a texaco service station where he wanted to wash the ambulance before the test. He has let his money at his office so i thought it was only fair to buy him a sandwich and a costa coffee. When i got back to the ambulance he was dealing with a problem that occurred. The airbag lights would not switch off because water must have got into the system. He then drove the ambulance at dangerously high speeds to try and dry the system with the hope that the light would turn off. He was worried that he would lose money of I couldn’t do the test. His solution was to put his card and cover the red light with some black tape so the examiner would not notice. When the test started the examiner noticed the digital dash with the airbag flashing. The examiner Gary was to carry on because he could not see that the red light had been covered purposely. Whilst out on the training I asked Jerry that if the examiner asks me to take certain directions and i do not then what would the consequences be. He said i am not telling you this but technically i could drive the whole test and they could not fail me. I was destined to fail for this exact reason when the examiner told me to take a left and sharp right. The reason for failure was response to signs/signals. It would have helped if Jerry advised that it was very important to follow the instructions exactly as the examiner says so. I am not staying that i would have passed but good training would have in hindsight ensured that i would have been particularly cautious. When i asked Jerry if he had a look at what i failed on the first attempt he told me that he hadn’t looked at it. I was somewhat taken back at this as surely your trainer would at least look at his/her students weaknesses and try and emphasise on them. Again you are a numer to them and they don’t really care if you pass or fail.

Not great at all, attended a FREC4 course, paid outright for the course. The course wasn't great at all and poor equipment, you know its bad when you go get your own kit out the boot of your car to help with the training. On top of this sent my frec 4 books off via email to them, but never heard anything back no communication from them even close to the deadline. Before I know it the deadlines gone and they didn't even approach me when the deadline was coming up.Wasted nearly £500........

Today I want to share with you a rather disheartening experience I had with a company called Basegreen. About a year ago, I enrolled in their FREC 4 course, a decision I deeply regret now.Initially, I was enthusiastic about the course, and I diligently completed all the coursework. However, my optimism quickly faded as I encountered a series of disappointments.Delayed Marking and Poor Feedback:After submitting my coursework, it took months for it to get marked. This delay was the first red flag. When I finally received feedback, it was, to put it mildly, subpar. The comments were vague and confusing, leaving me unsure of how to improve or proceed.A Cycle of Remark and Confusion:Hoping for clarity, I submitted my work for a remark. Again, it took an unreasonable amount of time to get a response. The feedback was still unclear, leading me to misunderstand the requirements. Despite my best efforts, I was told I had got it wrong again.Self-Guided Success:Frustrated but not defeated, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Without clear guidance from Basegreen, I managed to work out what was needed and finally received a pass. However, this victory was solely due to my own efforts and research, not the support of the company.Lack of Communication and Updates:Now, three months after receiving my 'pass subject to moderation', I am still in the dark. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to Basegreen, I've received no updates or responses. Their lack of communication is not just unprofessional; it shows a disregard for their students' time and efforts. In conclusion, my experience with Basegreen has been a saga of frustration and disappointment. The lack of timely and clear feedback, combined with poor communication, has left me feeling disillusioned. I hoped to gain new skills and knowledge from this course, but instead, I was left to navigate a confusing and poorly managed system on my own.I share this review not to disparage, but to inform others who might be considering Basegreen. Based on my experience, I would urge you to look elsewhere for your educational needs.Thank you for listening,Damon
