The food is really great, they do themed nights on occasion which are ace! The facilities are really great with heated indoor and outdoor pool plus games for adults and kids, can’t compare with an air bnb which is ultimately just a room…. great place for a proper holiday plus an amazing beach only 5 min drive away. Staff are friendly too and the wine selection is awesome!

Really welcoming family owned restaurant and hotel. Obviously currently with a limited menu due to covid, it was still really delicious. We had a generous selection of tapas treats and all were tasty and fresh. Beautiful terrace area to enjoy the views and sunshine and we were lucky with the weather.Really recommend when visiting this lovely part of the world.Note- some more vegan and vegetarian options suggestions would make the menu more diverse but again I accept this is a strange timeThanks for having us.

We stayed here with family in August. 3 rooms in total. Including one gentleman in a wheelchair and young children. We are really pleased we found this hotel. We come to Devon each Summer and will be staying here again this coming August. Top quality food. Very comfy beds. A real find.

Fabulous, relaxing stay in quiet and beautiful location with sea views and lovely outdoor and indoor pool.Super comfortable beds, friendly staff and good food. Loved it and didn't want to go home!!!

Wonderful hotel, family run. Very friendly service. Lovely fresh rooms. Sea views (at the front of the hotel). Indoor and outdoor pool, patio, games room(s).

Went for a three course meal; everything cooked to a high standard and tasted great. The wine was also very good quality. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Look forward to visiting again.

Myself and my family went to the restaurant last night. I had sea bass and my wife has chicken.Everything was cooked perfectly, the sea bass was absolutely amazing and the chicken was delicious.We were really impressed!!!! Thank you stoke lodge!!!!!

We had a very bad experience we will list the problems;-The shower head is still broken as last year, nobody bothered to pop out and buy a new one in the 7 days here.Toilet not attached to floor , so wobbles.Lack of water pressureBedroom carpet not vacuumedonce during stay , left bits to checkOnly one umbrella round pool and yet garden centre 10 minutes away which sells themThey decided to paint decking next to pool , which we used because it had safety fence , it was closed for 2 days in August, surely you wait foe end of season.Pools closed almost all of one day for pool work including measuring for new cover.No apology etc. given.No pastries available one day ,none delivered ( then pop to the shops quite simple )Jacuzzi didn't work last year , still doesn't work.Tennis court still in a dreadful state , not usable.It may seem a little thing , but the 5 of us had a window seat at breakfast every day , but on our last morning we were placed by the service station even though our usual table was left unmade, very petty and unpleasant.We know they are selling , it would appear , sooner the better.

A group of us went for a meal, here, due to the fabulous reviews. I'm guessing they must all have been hotel guests, not dinner guests.The menue was EXTREMELY limited. Not everyone could get something for all the courses. The food that we did eat, though, was nice. Not great, but OK. We asked in advance if we could order alternatives, but, despite the promise, no one ever responded.It wasn't until after the meal and walking across the room that it became apparent how grotesquely dirty and sticky the floors were. The bathrooms were the same. It left an overall feeling of a lack of cleanliness.The serving staff were lovely.Just a disappointing time, all around. I could never recommend this place for an evening meal. Or anything else, because it just felt icky.
