I’m really disappointed and shocked at the experience I had with this agency. I was contacted by Amber regarding my application for the position of Graduate Recruitment Consultant. I was initially looking forward to discussing the role with her, and she seemed friendly and warm over email. However, after speaking with her over the phone, I thought it was a completely different person due to the way I was spoken to. She came across cold and aggressive. After asking me about my experience, she abruptly asked me, ‘why do you want to leave your current position?’ While this question is fine in itself, the tone she spoke to with was unfriendly. After I answered this, I asked whether there are any vacancies available at a different branch than the one I initially wanted. She lied by stating there were none, despite me finding and applying for the role at that specific branch prior to the phone call . The advert had also not been there for longer than one week, therefore the position was unlikely to have been filled that quickly. It was made obvious that she lied about it, because she mentioned that she would get in contact with the branch and shortlist me when I asked her about it afterwards over email. Not to mention that she used the word ‘shortlist’ which means the client would have seen my CV and thought I was a good match; only to be told that I will receive a call ‘if’ my application was successful. Completely being dishonest about the whole process. I just think that it’s not difficult to be honest and kind to others. I also want to mention that they never answer the phone, and never call back. They claim that their company puts people over profit, yet this is further from the truth, considering how I was treated.

If I could give more than 5* I would. Hayden has been absolutely incredible, and has made my journey into the recruitment industry run so so smoothly! From just getting to know me on a Teams call at the start, to planning around my busy schedule for arranging interviews. It felt as if he genuinely cared about getting me into the right role, and didn’t push me into making an decisions when offers from companies were on the table. He was always on hand if I had any questions, even if they were out of work hours! If anyone is looking to get into recruitment, then Hayden is the one honestly! Highly recommend Virtus Talent, nothing but good things to say! I had Jacob who was amazing! He made it a very personal experience and me feel like I was his only candidate! Cannot recommended Virtus Talent enough! I worked with Nathan who was absolutely amazing, he was so supportive and gave me all the information and preparation I needed to succeed in my interviews. It was a very quick process and it feels like Virtus genuinely cares about you and wants you to do well which is always nice! I partnered with Nathan to continue my career in the Recruitment industry and the service he provided was second to none! I honestly could not recommend virtus enough! I worked with Hayden who was absolutely brilliant in every way possible. Virtus Talent, A Rec to Rec company with soul:Often thought of as robotic in nature, only out to boost an influx of potential candidates, this is a company who clearly breaks those trends and brings an expertise in human relations and critical assessment of weather a candidates attributes are genuinely suited to their respective role.I was lucky enough to work with Amber Redshaw,I cannot recommend Amber enough, the world of recruitment is such a volatile and competitive environment. The raw human aspect is often lost in this market, being a fresh graduate with little knowledge in the world of career pathing I was vulnerable to recruiters willing to put their commission before my aspirations, suitability and long term success. I had my fair share of these experiences so when I came across Amber it was clear to me that she genuinely took great care in my suitability for a role. Not only did she take the time to learn who I was and who I could become, she helped me build up the confidence to know what I was worth. I truly felt as though she was part of my team, helping me identify qualities in companies that would support my personal growth whilst being strong enough to let me know where I could improve. I simply cannot fault her, the ability she has to build rapport with a candidate almost instantaneously such as myself really helped me to gain trust in her as a human as apposed to a recruiter. This humane aspect there with me every step of the way through interview processes really made me feel comfortable and at ease through triumph and failure, no matter what, she was always there by my side. If I could recommend to anyone just starting out their career a recruitment company who genuinely takes care in their candidates, it would be Virtus Talent.

Billy Greenall was the recruitment consultant working with me. I would strongly recommended working with him in order to find the career that is right for you. Throughout the process he’s been informative and has always been on hand to help with anything I’ve needed. He has coached me well throughout the process and now that I have been successful in finding a new role I owe him a lot. Definitely a credit to Virtus Talent. Honestly words can’t describe how much I am thankful to him.
