I got in contact with Sherri and Trisha at Parrot & Coales after being recommended by a friend who also used them when purchasing their first home. Sherri and Trisha were very helpful throughout the process and made sure we exchanged and completed within all the deadlines that we were working towards. There's are a lot of technical jargon when reading through all the paperwork (which can be a little bit scary when buying your first home), however both Sherri and Trisha were really helpful in explaining what everything meant. Would recommend highly their services!

Jeremy Holding took over the management of the file for my late mother's estate. I have found his work to be excellent and I would highly recommend him. The conveyancing team have also done an excellent in respect of the sale of my late mother's property.

Sherri, Trisha and Michelle, were so professional in dealing with the sale and purchase of my mothers property. Every part of the process from the initial introductory email all the way through to the completion of the sale of the old property and purchase of the new property was faultless. They communicated very well and kept us up to speed and informed. They did an amazing job and I'd thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

Worse than useless, used them because they were recommended by an estate agent. Would never use either firm again. On the day we completed our buyers called us to tell us the good news, P&C weren't aware or interested we'd completed. Absolute rubbish

I echo previous recent comments.Very expensive, about a £1000 more than comparable solicitors for shared ownership purchases (and don’t feel I got a better service for it). Was told I could access my solicitor more easily and readily - a lie.Poor communication and felt like I was not kept up to date.Receptionist was rude and abrupt.Personally will not come back to them for future business and recommend others to try a different solicitors.Only positive is that the purchase did eventually happen, longer than expected, hence the 2 stars. Otherwise a very poor solicitors.

Diabolical.Flat sale and lease extension.Very straight forward, no chain we had a good relationship with the leaseholder. Failed to deliver both after 12 months of trying and charged us £900 for the service that delivered nothing. We had to engage with another solicitor to move the lease forward and we lost the sale.Communication - poorQuality of work - poorService provided - poor

We have used Parrott & Coales since buying our first house in 1988.We went in today to make an appointment to update our wills. They have the original copy intheir safe.We were told by the receptionist that they are not accepting 'new' business. I explained that we are long established existing customers and we need to update our wills, due to changes since we last did this. She said that they don't have enough staff and told us we should go to a different firm.The whole situation stinks like they are about to go out of business. If they treat their customers like this then it can't come soon enough.They have certainly lost all our future business!

I feel very much let down by the this firm and especially Richard Sauvain. He came very much recommended by a friend who has used him twice for her divorce and she could not praise him more. So I took that he is a great solicitor. Unfortunately, that was not true. He wants the money paid in advance but does not want to do the work or takes forever. Possibly, my own presumption, because I’m only a small fish in a pond, but unless you have a massive equity, which my friend did, he pushes your case to the side and does not care. All I want is my divorce to be over. Solicitor who is supposed to help you is not there and takes over 1-2 months to get back to you to your queries and charges you for chasing him to get the work done you have asked him a month or two ago as an extra communication. Very poor service and no consideration of what the person is going through in the first place as we all have different circumstances. In the last 2 weeks I have attempted to get hold of this solicitor and to no avail I have now raised the issue with Solicitors ombudsman, which I did not want to do but was left with no other choice.

A very un professional firm, with no awareness of the implications of their decisions, even when these are far reaching.They have made several mistakes while acting on my behalf which have cost us a lot to rectify via another firm of solicitors.My praise goes out to Michelle who was helpful and polite.However others that we sealed with their communication was awful and throughout the whole process we felt they were about to go out of business. The lack of staff seems to be down to this.I would strongly advise that you avoid using this firm at all costs. Make sure you get things in writing if you do go here.

Writing this review for Parrott & Coales is not an easy task: my wife and I asked them to look over our sale and purchase of a new house and we were initially assigned to a conveyancer named Joma Lawton, who was not even able to spell my forename properly. In all fairness she was kind of useless as she did absolutely nothing from June to September, and she never answered the phone, nor returned a phone call even when asked the receptionist to do so. So far it would have been a one star review, but finally Joma Lawton moved on and we were then assigned to Andrea Norfor that has been a super star. Not only did she catch up with all Joma’s leftovers, but she also managed to sort out some incoming problems with other parts of the chain in a quick, efficient and really dedicated manner, keeping me constantly updated and giving excellent advice. Andrea Norfor alone is worth 6 stars, and her endless effort to help us throughout a pretty difficult chain wipes out the two months of ineptitude we had to endure beforehand. Luckily Joma Lawton is no longer part of the firm, so I have no hesitation to suggest anyone to use Parrott & Coales to assist in their conveyances and if you get to work with Andrea Norfor, you certainly are in very good hands.
