Stunning place. Host were so nice. Extremely friendly. We chose room 10 and honestly my wife was refusing to leave. The room was that comfy and cozy. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order absolutely delicious and the portions were pretty decent too. Can't wait to visit again.

Located in the heart of the beautiful Kelvingrove area you'll find this stunning guest house run by Steve and Emma. Everywhere you look you'll find beautiful details, from the door handles to the ornaments on the ceiling. We stayed in room 4 which is gorgeous with a wonderful rain shower. Breakfast was superb as was the overall service. The whole place is a testament to the love and dedication of the owners. If you want to indulge yourself staying in gorgeous, welcoming and hospitable guest house this is the place to be for a stay in Glasgow.

Our stay was so lovely thanks to Jennifer who has a natural and easy gift for hospitality. She offered to put a kettle of tea on straight away, as we were a tad early from our flight times. It was perfect. So thoughtfully, left us a note and pastries and called a taxi for our early departure. We stayed in Room4: The bed and linens were cozy, comfy. The rain shower was heavenly. Decor just right - all of it just perfect.

Fabulous place to stay with easy access to the city centre. This quaint and well decorated Inn is located near the Glasgow University and in an area with a real cultural vibe, close to great restaurants and pubs. The hosts were great and the breakfast was out of this world. You need to have the croissants!!!! Thanks for making our stay so comfortable.Ron and Barb

I found The Alamo Guest House via an online search and selected it based on the many positive reviews that were posted. Those reviewers were accurate! The building, our room, and the common areas were immaculately clean, well-furnished and, especially our room (#12), extremely comfortable. In addition, the large hi-def TV in the room provided all the standard channels you would expect in a cable/satellite system, but also included free access to a number of subscription-based offerings such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and many others. Breakfast each morning was made to order and the number of selections of both hot and cold choices was almost endless. The Alamo House is located in the Kelvingrove area, one of the best sections in Glasgow. Many great sites to visit and an inordinate number of restaurant choices are within a few minutes’ walk. The Hop-on Hop-off bus, which we used extensively during our stay to get around Glasgow and its many sites and areas to visit, and I highly recommend, has two stops that were each about a 5 minute walk to reach. Our room was tastefully decorated, everything was well-maintained and the huge bay windows on two of the room’s walls allowed plenty of natural light to brighten the room. One set of the bay windows overlooked the tennis courts and bowling greens directly across the street, and were part of a large park that was wonderful to walk in. The Kelvingrove Art Museum and buildings on the Univ of Glasgow campus form a great background to this view. The best part of our entire stay, though, was meeting and having various chats with Steve, the Alamo House’s owner. A perfect person for the job - a wonderful personality, an engaging conversationalist, focused on your every need and someone you felt was extremely happy and appreciative that you chose his establishment for your stay. While we did not get an opportunity to meet his wife, Emma, I suspect she shares the same traits as Steve. Together, along with their great staff, they are what makes The Alamo House as wonderful as it is.We were extremely pleased with our stay and want to thank Steve and Emma for their gracious hospitality and we certainly appreciated the time that Steve spent outlining areas on our map to visit and the great recommendations he made for dinner each night during our stay. You can not do any better than The Alamo House for your lodging choice in Glasgow!

We arrived after our drive from Edinburgh, rang the old style door bell and were welcomed in by Courtney. We were shown the lounge with tea and coffee facilities, the guest fridge, Tunnocks Teacakes and Caramel Logs. The room (2) faced the back of the guest house so we didn’t have views of the park. The room itself had a luxury feel to it with a large four poster bed. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room as well. The bathroom with its large copper bath was added to the feeling of luxury. The walk-in shower was easy to use and the bathroom turned into a wet room. The location is excellent for the many local bars and quality restaurants. The breakfast in the morning set us up for the day. The service was perhaps a little slow, on the other hand, everything was freshly cooked to order.A fantastic place to stay in the trendy area of Finnieston.

Excellent B&B. Great setting overlooking Kelvingrove Park. Lovely old property, restored to former glory, high coffin ceilings, sympathetic main hallway low lighting but very big bright breakfast room bay window with paintings, book shelves, artefacts on sideboards to stimulate interest. Looked forward to the Scottish themed breakfast with a tower of both haggis & black pudding on a tattie scone topped with poached egg.

My absolute favorite place to stay in Glasgow.Nicely appointed and uniquely designed and decorated rooms (the bathrooms are all whimsical). Located adjacent to Kelvingrove Park in the Finniston neighborhood. Close to the University, Kelvingrove Museum, local shops (Argyle St.), restaurants, and pubs.Privately owned and operated.Highly recommended!
