Booked on spec, looking for somewhere to meet friends for lunch that did gluten free options. Busy service but all food types catered for, well prepared and very tasty, witnessed by all the clean plates.Great service from all of the staff as well, to handle our table of 6. Thank you.

AMAZING PLACE! We were visiting from Yorkshire, booked a table here for my birthday and we weren't disappointed. Very delicious food and incredibly friendly staff and locals. We treated our dog to one of their dog ice creams so she could join us for dessert, she was a happy pooch. There was an acoustic guitarist playing during our meal too which just added to an already fantastic experience. Definitely recommend, especially welcoming for dog owners. Book ahead, it was fully booked on the Sat night!

Four of us for a Tuesday lunch. Ample parking. A friendly welcome. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Surroundings pleasant. The menu offered a very wide choice of dishes which were served promptly and with care. Our overall impression was that the food was very good and the service excellent. We all agreed we would be pleased to eat there again. What more can you ask?

Fabulous meal, fabulous atmosphere, super friendly and helpful staff. First visit, will certainly go again, especially taking the family. Contributed to your hearts xmas tree. What a lovely idea. Overall a very positive eating experience.

Arrived 12noon for Sunday lunch, plates hot but food cold. Told three different staff but sadly nothing done about it.Partly our fault, as we should have mentioned it as soon as food arrived. First member of staff replied, oh I will tell the chef !

As a group of 18, we were well and truly accommodated with pleasant smiles and friendly service.Ordering was straight forward, seating was all prepared for us, and the added bonus of being able to sit in a shaded outdoor area and watch the women's final!Once everyone had placed their orders and the food started to arrive, our group fell silent - the quietest we had been all weekend! It was spectacular! The food was cooked to perfection, the condiments were provided with no hassle, the gravy was so tasty and came in cute little pots so we could pour however much we wanted. The roast potatoes!!! Wow! I would definitely go out of my way to eat here again!Thank you to the team here who helped make the end of our family trip so special!

Visited here yesterday, with other half and her parents accompanied by parents fury friend.Absolutely amazing service from start to finish.I'm not one for going out for roast dinners but wow ! Decent size portion and very prompt service.Will definitely be visiting again sometime in the near future.Thank you to all who made a fantastic afternoon.

If ever there was a reminder not to book with corporate hoteliers, the Oak Inn is it. It's simply not possible to deliver the incredible level of personal service that the Oak delivers in a 50+ facility. From the moment we arrived, we felt like returning family (even though it was our first visit). The warmth, decor and ambiance of the pub was immediately relaxing. the ease of check in and not having to complete admin after a long trip, was superb and being shown personally to the room was fantastic. The facilities in the room were excellent and cleanliness, temperature control etc of the highest order. We had a superb Dinner in the restaurant and great early breakfast spot we could get on road, all attended to with friendliness and knowledge by the owners. We will definitely be going back and could not have been more impressed.
