Best sourdough in Dorset!I've tried many local sourdoughs but always come back to the former Burley Baker. He makes the best white breadrolls too.With wood fired oven flatbreads and cakes too, once you've tried the Old Malthouse bakery you will be back for more!I travel 15 miles for this bakery and highly recommend!

An excellent range of crafted breads at sensible prices. Old fashioned buns and scones, the pork pies are almost as good as my homemade ones!The bakers (father and son) are both very friendly and happy to answer any questions about their products.If you like tasty traditional bread that's not all sourdough or fancy flavours then this is the bakers for you.

The best bakery around. If you want traditional, home style bread and backed goods do yourself a favour and visit the Old Malthouse Bakery. The bread is great and the donuts are out of this world.

Highly recommend stopping off to visit this fabulous family owned and run bakery. Everything is made lovingly from scratch with proper fresh ingredients. None of these numbered fillers or preservatives. The bread is baked in a wood fire oven with many varieties to choose from. We loved our bread rolls filled with wood oven baked Mediterranean vegetables and hummus. Hot cross buns, cinnamon buns, and doughnuts are just some of the other treats to be enjoyed.

The best doughnuts ever according to my husband, and he has tried a few. I love the cinnamon swirls and frangipane tarts, 1 will last two days. Bread is also delicious. A real treat!

Absolutely stunning bakery. Small, family run place with glorious cinemon rolls and donuts. The sourdough bread is a gift from heaven.

Whether you want, White, Wholemeal, Granary or the Flagship Sourdough. If you want something with a Mediterranean flavour, why not try the fantastically formidable Foccaccia full of olives & sundried tomatoes or the really authentic Ciabatta . If you prefer something sweeter the doughnuts & cinnamon swirls are Absolutely Amazing. If savoury scones and quiches are more your thing you will not be disappointed -Believe Me!!!
