We recently bought a new built house where universal were contracted to fit a wardrobe. I am appalled by the quality, workmanship and the finish of the wardrobes. The shelves are not leveled, hinges not fitted properly, very untidy cuts, unthoughtful design where very narrow shelves are installed and dividers are places the middle of the door openings thus wasting so much space, gaps left all over the place and didn't even make an effort with filling it up with caulk. Even the builder's site manager confirmed that this company had won the contract to supply the wardrobes so nothing much he can do apart from getting their own joiner to come and remedy as much as they can but did confirm that universal is known for rushing through a job and cutting corners.

I am glad I ended up using another company. The only thing the designer explained clearly and better to me was my payment bill. Everything else was a mystery. I honestly don’t know why I was being given a payment bill of almost £3000. Very poor first impression.

I arrive at 9 collvile Rd, verry lazy employers. I was booked for 8 a clock, they start at 0830,after coffee time. They finish at 1200, and refuse to fix back the cortine from my 20feet container box.

Have used Universal Interiors afew times for bespoke bedroom redesign. Very happy with quality and price.

Tried to leave comment on website but see it's the company who choose the Testimonials, positive ones asI could not leave one. I had my wardrobes fitted last year £1200 and have called and emailed David, that my wardrobes are so shallow in depth that I have to hold my clothes from jamming in doors to close them. I have had no reply so take it the Guarantee is worth nothing.

I would think twice before using this company. Designer will tell u one thing and joiner will install something else. My wardrobes came without backs, side panels,l. Shelves was glued to wall which will leave damage. I was told I would be getting bespoke in built chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Instead I end up with cheap furniture that i could have easily purchased from a bargain store. Reported to consumer direct and hopefully will be perusing it with court action.
