Fantastic interactive museum with a wide variety of systems, literature and paraphernalia. Highly recommend a visit. Staff super friendly and other guests very courteous. Very good value. I was able to see and play systems I had heard of but not ever played. The arcade section is impressive.

Had a great day out. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone. I loved playing games I grew up with. There is plenty to see and take in. From computers, consoles, games, magazines (literally have a library)

What a brilliant place!I’ve visited quite a few times in the past couple of years, in fact the photos are from 2022 but the layout is similar. If you have a desire to revisit almost any piece of retro computer and gaming hardware then this is the place for you. There are so many computers, consoles, arcade equipment, custom built arcade cabinets, and a games library, it would take months of visits to see everything!Apparently they have loads of hardware that they don’t have room to display . Fortunately they’re moving a couple of units down to a much larger location which should give them more space to spread out.Highly recommended!!!!

Lovely place. I came in the afternoon, and got a few games in. Any retro game or console you can think of... They have it. And the volunteers working there are very friendly.£7.50 to get in and there's a loyalty card where after 6 visits you have a free entry.

A really great hands-on museum with countless games to play that's affordable too. It's also an excellent resource for classic British computers especially, but there's plenty more covering the whole history of the medium. If you're new to retro gaming you might want to take the tour or ask the very friendly staff for help, otherwise you might be lost in menus!More easily available hand sanitiser/wipes would be nice, though, as a lot of people are touching the controllers through the day.

great retro museum. I remembered the times when I played on Commodore 64, Amiga 500 and old PC games. I will definitely come back here again someday. Regards

Pensioner, and did this bring back memories. I was expecting a museum, but in reality, you go in and play on every console I've ever heard of for as long as you like. Machines are set up so as you play free for as long as you like. Admission charge is about £7 for an adult. I can recommend this for casual gamers or for any grandson wanting to take the Mickley out of their aging parents.Yes, we played games like this.

For anyone who fondly remembers the Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro B, Amiga, Commodore 64, as well as all the different games consoles this is a must visit place! A great trip down memory lane! There are also a few arcade cabinets with Street Fighter, Out Run, and Pac Man amongst the titles available to play. To cap things off there's some early VR units to sample too! I took my 2 daughters (12 & 9) and they loved it. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to show you some of the exhibits on display if you got tired of playing the games. Well worth a visit.

Booked the museum for a private event for what I consider to be a highly reasonable sum.Staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Coffee machine was great and a welcome surprise!Extensive range of machines to use of all genres, as well as the games to go on them. A vague description was often enough for the staff to hunt it out and find it for you.As well as the usable equipment there are plenty of boxed items and curiosities all around. The more you look, the more you notice! There is an extensive library of reading material, much of which was for sale.I can't recommend this place enough and I'll definitely be coming back!

My husband and I decided to visit Leicester as we’d not gotten to explore much the first time we were there. We did a search for Things To Do and came across the Retro Computer Museum. We decided to go even though we wouldn’t get to spend all day there. Had I known how much fun we’d have, we would have planned ahead and left bright and early. This place is run by volunteers and they are all so wonderful and very helpful. We got a tour of the museum and even had interesting conversations with the volunteers who were there that day. We got to play on unique game systems and they even had a pinball machine and arcade machine! We most definitely will be returning and bringing friends with us next time!
