Where do I begin. This was a special weekend for us our son was getting married and we had family visiting from Gran canaria they stayed with us and this was their last night. We have been to Zen City on many occasions and never been disappointed.In summary we waited a really long time for our food to arrive and there seemed to be no system as different service staff kept asking us if we had ordered. There were no prawn crackers while we waited. The duck served with Peking duck for 2 was barely enough for 2 people. The pancakes were dry and stuck together. The main courses were ok but not hot. If we hadn't been with guests we would have left.You must get your act together. My worry is if this is what the customer sees what is happening behind the scenes. There are a lot of poor reviews. You should respond to your reviews to try and restore confidence and put in place a recovery relaunch. You have put your prices up we know all prices have increased but you need to maintain quality and standards to maintain your your Go to restaurant " position"

Extremely disappointed that they no longer have Jasmine tea. Why would you stop doing such a traditional drink which was introduced in China and I have been ordering it in Zen City for over 15 years. Spoilt my whole experience last night. Food was tasty but minimal meat amongst lots of veg in each dish. Service good although several staff asked us the same thing so didn’t seem to be working together.

Not a traditional Chinese restaurant. £20 per person buffet style. The food felt mass produced, not authentic. Very busy though, so two courses for two, took over an hour and a half to get. Not a place for couples.If you like deafening chatter from 100plus people, with crying babies at 8.30 at night, and cheap average food then it's the place for you. 6 years since my last visit and I'll never darken its door again.

We had lunch on Father's day and it was our first experience there. The food is good but the hospitality wasn't to good. We had two children under 5 and for 4 people they brought only 2 little ice cream only for adults which we gave to children. After paying no one came to say us goodbye. It doesn't cost nothing to provide ice cream for children and to show better hospitality.

Service was very slow. We waited for a long time to get menu and another hour for food. In the meantime other table has been served. Lots of foods wasn’t hot, some of dishes such as fried chicken was burned and oily. We felt like ignoring by the staffs also the table behind of had same feeling, we kept calling for service however they didn’t come to us. The quality of foods wasn’t good.

We went as part of a large group and had the three course menu. The starters were very nice, the duck rolls were ok, but the main dishes were limited to three with fried rice and noodles. All in all for the price it was very acceptable.

Thought to try this out for a change. Service was great, food was average and the atmosphere was alright but could have done with some more customers to add to the ambience. Decor could do with a bit of wallpaper paste stuck behind it in places.

Went to Zen city for a family friends birthday. We were a group of 11 people. The quality of food was absolutely horrendous. Don’t bother ordering soup. It had no actual flavour and tasted artificial. The only good starter was the prawn toast, everything else felt like it was made from frozen. The drinks are overpriced and you are charged for tap water!! Never heard of this in any other restaurant in England. The mains are not great either. I ordered green Thai curry but it lacked flavour. This is the most overpriced restaurant around. Wouldn’t recommend at all. If you are looking for good food on hamlet court road, try Indian chefs or Tara Thai.

Booked a Sunday lunch for my Daughters 18th. It was a fixed menu all you can eat, although there is plenty to choose from. Everybody enjoyed it

Fantastic as always. Lovely friendly staff, very reasonable drink prices. Food terrific, so tasty. Great selection. Highly recommended!!!
