Amazing quiet little stop right off the highway. Excellent spot with a neat bit of history regarding the clan who rebuilt Eileen Donan castle!

An eye catching war memorial and church ruins it’s a bit of a scramble to get to the top of the war memorial, WW1, but there’s a bench to sit a while and take in the loch views as well as think of those who left this idilic area to fight for our country. The church and graveyard are full of interesting reads, it’s also a commonwealth war graveyard too. Lots of the McRae clan are buried here. Free easy parking for Motorhome’s etc it’s worth a stop even for a leg stretch and reflection on your journey through life

A beautiful, peaceful place to be.Following the Battle of Glenshiel this late medieval church was damaged by Hanoverian gun fire in 1719 possibly because it was used as a hospital for the Jacobite wounded after the battle. It was the parish church of Kintail and was in use until the 1850’s.Now a wonderful ruin with views over to Loch Duich and Clachan Duich Burial Ground.
