Milton Keynes Jobcentre

When you enter you're greeted by a rude glorified doorman, I explained our situation 3 times to which his reply was you can't come in without an appointment, then he turned away from me to stare off into space, 2 security guards then moved towards me as I asked him a different question while he totally ignored me. What an awful experience for my son, who has just left college, he only wanted to claim some money to help with travel to job interviews. Also why does it cost £2 an hr for the parking?

Awful experience, went in to ask for advice post redundancy and around DLA for my son and was sign posted to a website, when I asked what the purpose of the job centre was, I was told to help with benefits claims and that they didnt really help have jobs to offer people to apply for. I questioned that advice re benefits was what I had asked about and that all he had done was signpost to an external website and he didnt seem to get my point. - I walked away frustrated and him laughing at me as I left.

Been trying to get help to work as a disabled person for 3 years to no avail. Constantly turned away. Will also watch me struggling in and out of the building, I even had the management barge me out of the way through the automatic door while using a walking frame!

1st time visiting the Job Centre yesterday G4S security were friendly and happy and had a browse of the boards and see what jobs are there to offer as I'm going college next year and DWP were helpful and gave me a info paper to find me a job

Horrendous experience dealing with Chris Llewellyn DWP staff, he has no people skills is rude, condescending and surly. Jobcentre is like a night club 9 or 10 G4S staff patrolling half empty floors.

They want you to apply for jobs and go to the job fairs but don't have the facilities to print out your CV. You have to go find yourself a place to do that. No thanks I'm not going to the fair. One the most broke jobcentres GREEEEEEDY

Leaving this as more of a pre warning then as review as you don't get to choose the JC that you attend when you sign up for UC, if you're expecting to go to your appointment and have someone help you look for work and go through jobs and opportunities with you then don't. They don't do that here anymore, I honestly don't really understand the point of the jobcentre at all or why they can't just do these silly 10 minute appointment over the phone. It's not like it was a good 10 years ago where you could go in and use the computers or the phones to look for work. They don't care, they get paid an awful lot of money to sit there and twiddle their thumbs. I've been in here a few times now and all I ever witnessed here is advisors talking to other advisors extremely loud about the last person that they've just seen and some of the things I've heard have been very inappropriate. The staff are just rude and unprofessional and they instantly look down their nose at you. They will sanction you for the littlest thing also, like attending an interview for example that's been booked in over the phone and not via email. They will find a reason to punish you. This is meant as more of a pre warning to people. It's not a nice place and the staff are all extremely rude, you won't get any help and they'll happily sanction you for any little thing. The whole JC and UC is a flawed service.

It takes courage to admit to needing help so why doesn’t the jobcentre give their drop-in session days & times in the local area on the website? This would avoid those that have plucked up the courage to reach out being turned away because they’re not aware of the days & times they can access advice! Come on Jobcentre. Help those people!

You get to see who you need to see for spots and stuff, but it's a bit ill-thought out when you wanna talk about private stuff with the person but then you have other people glaring at you as they're waiting their turn and actually listening to your private" conversation. I have to admit
