Have been under the care of this practice for 5 years, they are under a lot of pressure. I find the front door reception very helpful and Dr Queenan a fair, kind and very understanding Doctor. The nursing staff are lovely too

Ive been going here for years and I think they are friendly and helpfulI literally have no complaints I cant believe these bad reviews.. Obviously its difficult to try and get an appointment it is at every doctors. I cant understand why people moan so much about that.. Just think how many patients they have and how busy they are. and if you say that you are waiting for a while to get through, its because they are dealing with other patients. do you think they're ignoring the phone ??

I am 51 years old, most of my family members are with this practice ,starting out with Dr rosen and Dr Mcdermid both lovely then Dr musil and Dr Queenan joined??????? What happened, service is nill, reception are not interested, what happened to our friendly receptionist willing you to pop in to SEE you local gp. What a joke.

I’ve been going to this practice regularly for the last 8 years with a chronic condition, and I have experienced nothing but caring, attentive and respectful treatment from Dr Queenan and his nursing and reception staff. The people who have left bad reviews here clearly don’t appreciate the huge workload they have, and that they are severely understaffed. Since Brexit and the pandemic, there is a massive shortage of gps, nurses and gp reception staff in the UK, and this surgery is coping as best they can with a very limited workforce, working long hours. Yes, it’s frustrating to have to wait longer for our phone calls to be answered, and for appointments, but this team can only do what is humanly possible.

I am giving 5 stars for Dr Queenan ,he is definitely the best Dr here. But receptionist staff is awful, I tried to book an appointment for my 14 years old sister, who is bleeding and feel dizzy, but receptionist offer me only appointment in 2 weeks, when I said that my sister need to see doctor ASAP, she started screaming at me(That’s why I needed to call 999)

Edit:Now changed hands and called ‘James Alexander Family Practice’. Not sure why the title as the are basically just a business??Complete shambles. I can no longer access my full electronic medical records from before they took over. I had full access with HFT who ran the practice before them. They are my records, held on the NHS database for you to consult on and add to, they are not yours so press the button and give access back! No more online booking of appointments no more booking over the phone/video consultations & no out of hours or late/weekend appointments. Why???I have rated as 2 star as they have retained some of the customer facing staff and they are on the whole pleasant and professional unlike the behind the scenes personnel. Otherwise it would be a 1.My prior rating was 5 Stars & Excellent service all round.

Hello. Recently, I have had bad experiences with doctors from this clinic. I have a problem with my left leg, it swells, hurts, I can't walk well. I asked several times for blood and urine tests. I was denied research. I've been in this clinic for 10 years and I've never done any research. I am asking you to treat your patients well. We are all human and someday something bad can happen to you. Iwona Kutnik bows.

Very easy to register, polite and clear receptionist.I was texted my account information for online access about a week after registering. The online website makes it very fast and easy to book appointments, see your medical notes, etc. It sounds like other reviewers booked appointments over the phone and had to wait on hold - try online if you can.The upstairs area is surprisingly large. There are several hand sanitizer dispensers.Right next to pharmacy, very convenient.

Have recently changed to this surgery .I found the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The clinicians I have seen listened carefully to my problems and were very sympathetic.

I suffer from hayfever that's resistant to most non prescription medication meaning I need higher dosages of it, and they don't allow for appointments to be booked anytime passed 8am, which is ridiculous, not everyone has time to wait in a queue for an hour just to get told there's no appointments available
