Edit: the garage were quick to respond to this review and have now refunded the deposit with apologies and an explanation.Not thrilled with this garage, still waiting for a deposit refund 3 months later. We travelled over 150 miles back in June to look at a Skoda Yeti which was described as spotless. We paid a refundable deposit to reserve. When we arrived, the whole climate control unit was dead and we were told they didn’t know why, as well as some other smaller issues. An honest mistake I suspect, but it would be good to know before making the journey. We told the garage that we didn’t want to risk electrical gremlins and were promised a refund of the deposit. 3 months and several phone calls later and we’re still waiting for the refund.

I saw a car online that they were selling I phoned a knowledgeable and friendly chap called David who answered all of my questions openly and honestly. I then went to view the car today and Found it to be exactly as described and exactly what I was looking for. I was left to view the car at my leisure no pressure from the sales staff I purchased the car there and then and found the whole process hassle free. I can't recommend this garage highly enough. Absolute first class service.

I have bought cars from this business twice in the past, and never had any troubles with sales or after-sales. My warranty arrived in the post a few days after I collected the cars, and I now intend on bringing my cars back for service and MoT's when they are due. These guys couldn't do enough for me as a new and returning customer. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation

Last week my wife collected her Mazda CX-5 and is loving it more each time she drives it - when I've not taken it first! It wasn't necessarily what she originally had in mind but Nick qualified her requirements and guided her towards this, without any pressure.The selling price and part-exchange allowance were both fair and Nick and David showed their usual professionalism throughout the process.This is the seventh car that various members of our family have bought from Nick over the last 10 years and we have been very happy with all of them - why would we go anywhere else?!

Thank you to Nick and his team for our recent purchase of a Mazda CX 5.After a week we detected an oil leak. Nick and his team could not have been more helpful. After inspecting the car, they arranged to collect the car at our convenience, leaving a courtesy car for us to use, and had the vehicle repaired by Mazda.I have no hesitation in recommending East Knighton Cars to anyone looking to buy a quality vehicle from a trustworthy and knowledgeable dealer. David and Nick could not have been more helpful or pleasant and come across as genuine guys passionate about the service they offer and reputation of the garage.I live three and a half hours away from the garage so wanted to know all i could about the vehicle before travelling to see it and David very patiently answered the, what must have seemed like 101 questions I had, about the Land Rover Freelander 2 and was happy to reserve it with a small deposit ensuring it was there for me to view when I could get there at the end of the week.On arrival I was met by David who immediately arranged coffee whilst leaving me to look around the vehicle on my own, checking once in a while to make sure I was OK and had no further questions before we took it for a test drive.Paperwork was sorted out quickly and efficiently and a collection date for car arranged which, despite it being a few weeks further on, was no problem for the team either. Collection day was equally smooth, car was beautifully prepared and ready, although a small technical gremlin reared its head when they were doing final checks in the morning but Nick dealt with the matter personally including bringing in a JLR specialist to diagnose the issue properly and fix it, and then I was on my way back to Devon :)By asking the right questions about a car, before you get there, and knowing what you want should mean that you will be neither surprised or disappointed by the vehicle when you get to see it, I certainly wasn't!!Doing your research ensures you now what you are getting, and the car was competitively priced in relation to what else was on the market at that time. I don't normally buy from dealers / garages and am prepared to travel a long way for the right car (3 or 400 miles isn't unknown) so this was a relatively new experience for me to find what I was looking for on a forecourt at the right money.Equally if you really want a car and are travelling a long distance put a holding deposit on it to ensure it's there like I did, these guys are running a business and I am sure they get lots of phone calls from buyers promising to buy cars and then never show losing another sale in the process so don't take it personally, they would appear to turn a lot of cars so just because its there in the morning doesn't mean it will be there in the afternoon, the next day or next week!!

Great service from David when purchasing a car for my daughter, lovely coffee from the cafe too! He took plenty of time to explain everything to her, as well as keeping us thoroughly entertained! Just purchased an extended warranty and all throughly explained again.Thoroughly recommend this dealership.

I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough! I have purchased two vehicles from here 18 months ago I brought my dream car a beautiful ix35 (ernie) sadly due to no fault of my own it was sadly written off amidst the Covid 19 crisis, it was a perfect car to the end and purchasing the ix35 was streamline and easy, David and Nick were fabulous and so understanding of my circumstances 18 months ago even taking me as a deposit whilst the OH went and got the cash for me, their humor and kindness was amazing and my goodness that cafe is perfect too! Nothing was a problem for nick and david! Fast forward to now amidst this covid crisis having had the ix35 written off I found a beautiful ford kuga, due to having retrained as a care worker, i needed a vehicle and as quickly as I could get one! ! I called and explained my circumstances and David very kindly opened up for me to view and test drive the kuga all within the strict policy of the restrictions and following all nessecary precautions! Have now purchased and bought home my new car (1st may 2020) and it was absolutely no problem for David at any point, with the short turn around of 4 days from test drive to collection to get me back on the road for my carers job! Both cars have been thoroughly checked over by them ensuring no faults ect and even down to making sure all the tyres are legal to drive away on! I couldn't ask for a better car sales place to go! Thank you so much Nick and especially David for assisting me twice with the purchase of both of my vehicles from you! A massive thank you to David for opening up for me during this covid crisis!
