Lucy recently photographed our wedding ceremony, wedding reception, and a collection of outdoor shots around the city in Salisbury. From start to finish, the entire process has been stress-free, professional and flexible. We could not have asked for a better service, and the quality of the finished photos has surpassed our expectations. Despite fluctuating (typical British summer!) weather including everything from drizzly rain, overcast and bright sun - Lucy was able to capture perfect shots. Communication was excellent and the guidance/knowledge Lucy provided was fantastic and we certainly felt in safe hands. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a fabulous experience at Lucy McGrath photography last autumn. We'd booked a family studio shoot, however the location is so beautiful, we were able to do some outdoor shots too, with prior arrangement and weather permitting. Our children are teenagers and we thought a photo shoot might be awkward for them. Lucy quickly put them at ease and was able to give them direction and encouragement. We are thrilled with the results. We'd had a consultation before hand to discuss what we'd like and the photos we got are beautiful. The prints and photo boxes are very high quality. We were giving them as Christmas gifts and our families were so pleased with them. Lucy has managed to capture the character of our boys beautifully. The studio was very professional, easy to get to, parking outside. Would highly recommend for all ages, studio and location shoots.

Lucy is so friendly and made us feel really at ease during our photo shoot. She has a lovely studio but will also do location shoots. I was so pleased with the final photos. Thank you so much Lucy for capturing some wonderful moments on more than one occasion for us!

We have wanted to get a family photo shoot for so long and after seeing so many fantastic photos that Lucy has taken, we knew she would take exactly what we wanted as a family. Nothing was too much trouble, she put us all very much at ease and captured our family with our suddenly very photogenic Labrador exactly how we wanted. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lucy to anyone.

We found Lucy just through googling for wedding photographers, and decided to book her based on her relaxed style and candid photos. We really appreciated her flexibility when Covid restrictions had to change our plans. Lucy photographed our civil partnership ceremony in 2021, and when preparing for our postponed party in 2022 we had no doubt at all about asking Lucy to be our photographer again, and booking a longer day so that we had as many photos as possible, as the 2021 photos were so brilliant. It was great to go into our big event with complete trust that it would be wonderfully captured.But what websites and photos don’t tell you, is that with Lucy you don’t just get a professional photographer, you get a genuinely lovely person who helps ensure everything goes well. She not only gets grumpy children to smile, and an autistic person who struggles with knowing what to do in photos to look the right way, but she also offers support in other ways - reassurance when we needed it, and she had a great idea of how to get something we’d forgotten to bring with us. We couldn’t recommend Lucy highly enough.

We had an autumn family photo shoot with Lucy. None of us have had professional photos done before and my daughter can be quite anxious, so we weren't sure how it would be. However an outdoor shoot was ideal as we could chat as we walked around the woods which helped to get everyone relaxed. Lucy was great with my daughter too. She was prompt and clear in answering questions during the choosing and editing process. We are very pleased with our photos.
