I’ve had many items of clothing mended and altered here. Off the rack seldom fits right so I need a lot of things altered. Trousers jeans shirts coats. Always done well and in good time. Friendly as well

I bought a coat I love from a flea market, which was quickly falling apart. Particularly at the sleeves. I brought it here, paid £20, and collected my newly perfect coat the next day. Smiley and helpful staff inside, too. Amazing place.

Stitches offer a professional tailoring service with a quick turnaround time. I have used them multiple times and have not been disappointed. They are not the cheapest but they always accommodate.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Paid £50 to get my trousers tailored and they got it all wrong. When I picked the trousers up they were about to close so they told me to come back the next day so they can rectify the issue. When I went back they said I had to pay again as it was a new alteration. They didn’t rectify the issue. Avoid this horrendous business at all costs..many other good priced tailors in Birmingham who are much better than these amateurs.

I've had some items altered by stitches previously (via a third party) and they'd done a brilliant job in them. Today I decided to pay a visit in person with some additional items that need altering, was also looking for advice and recommendations on the alteration. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and happy to offer advice. They gave me a clear cost and date I could pick my items up on. Looking forward to doing so and thanks to the staff for making it an easy process.

AVOID… went here to get two trousers length change and tightened. Why did I pay £82.50? They don’t have no prices on show in store and use a calculator and do it from the top of their head.I dropped my item 1.30pm told it would be done by 4.. went back and it was like they total ignored what I said. The trousers looked the same. They said they’ll fix them and said can’t be done until tomorrow however when people was dropping items in they was telling them to come back in 1 HOUR? Should you honour the customers item that you failed on first ? Anyways, went back for 11am and they still wasn’t right I legit told them to take everything away and they never. They said if you come back in two hours they’ll be ready I was frustrated at this point. Anyways went back and did r even try them on jus took them off them.A man paid £35 to get his sleeves shorter on a thin running top and he was even shocked at the price.A man paid £57 to get his jeans shortened.I asked another tailor their prices and they said I was basically scammed and I’m ngl I think it was cus I was black .The girl in there who’s got blond hair is so rude when I told her I wasn’t happy coming back she shouted and said ‘ there’s nothing I can do it’s not my fault what you want me to do?’There is better tailors with reasonable prices this is extortion honestly. Even another tailor was shocked with prices. There’s great ones in kingsheath high st if you can make it there and I promise you won’t be disappointed.I hope this helps

The staff were incredibly friendly and within a day managed to size me up and make the alterations.Brilliant service, will be using again, I cannot recommend them enough

WORST SERVICE TO DATE, I paid £180 to get my jeans tailored, I came back countless times because they still hadn’t altered them correctly. They then attempted to charge me more for the alterations they hadn’t got right. I left there with jeans unaltered, my money and time wasted. Terrible service.
