Visited today 22/11/23.Chris the carver was easy to talk to and had a bit banter. Top bloke. The other carver, didn’t catch his name was also very helpful . Kelsey took our drink order, and was very friendly and efficient. The carvery was amazing. Every mouthful was tasty as. Well worth it. The place looks brilliant. A good investment made. It looks very welcoming . Can’t wait to visit again . Keep up the excellent service.

My 82 Yr old mum fancied a carvery so we tried the Toby , she is very picky but loved the beef carvery we had .She normally gets a small plate elsewhere but med. is the smallest at Toby so she had much more than normal on her plate.She had all her veggies and most of the beef and asked the staff to wrap the rest of her beef to have later which they were only too happy to oblige.Great food,staff and ambiance!

Laura our waitress was amazing, as always. She was so helpful and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. She made our visit perfect and deserves recognition!Food was lush too

The refurb is brilliant! Its looks really really good. The staff were fantastic and so friendly. The lady at the desk (possibly German?) never didn’t have a smile on her face, she made everyone feel welcome and even had a laugh with them. The food was lovely, and it warm and welcoming.

When we arrived we were quickly given a table for 4 even though we hadn't booked. Laura A served us at our table and was absolutely wonderful! She was very quick to serve us and regularly checked up on how we were. It was very busy but I saw that Laura served all her tables so efficiently that no one seemed to have to wait for her, she also was chatty and friendly to all.We are on holiday from NZ but if I ever had the chance I would definitely recommend this place.

Decent enough food I guess. Beef sandwich wasn't anywhere near as hot as the roast potato side though. Yorkshire puddings are tasty, as is the gravy. Waiting for a table can be a lengthy process. A far better option than Champs Sports Bar and Grill, all things considered.

Toby staff had served drinks (had drinks at their vehicle) to a group who were inappropriately blocking disabled bays and that group threatened that a group of gypsies would smash us and our car up for taking a picture of the behavior. Toby staff didn’t really seem to care about their customers threatening and swearing others in a family setting. Needless to say has been robustly reported to a number of parties.

Went today as I do at least once a week with a friend sometimes twice so after a long 3 week wait we went for it reopening today and we were not disappointed it’s a lovely cosy atmosphere place looks beautiful and food was on point. Staff amazing as always so friendly and approachable be back next week if not before
