Wow. What appalling service from the woman who runs this place.I was last here 11 months ago and when I arrived she was being rude on the phone to some poor victim. When she was off the phone she was extremely rude to her staff and started being rude to me. I almost left but they were the only place where I could get what I needed. Another member of staff came and helped me and I stuck it out but she was extremely rude again in the office.Fast forward 11 months and despite some trepidation I’m back. I specifically called up in the morning to ask if it would be ok to come up and select what I needed, being aware that there are restrictions due to Covid-19. I was told it would be fine, so I drove for an hour to get here. I called the number at the gate on arrival and headed to the office. Instantly the owner was hostile and started demanding what I needed. I tried to explain - despite her repeatedly talking over me - that I’d need to see the goods as I’d be told would be ok on the phone. She suddenly disappeared and came back with something similar to what I wanted but not the actual thing I required. I asked to go look (as I had been told would be ok) and she refused (as she’s perfectly allowed to do), but she was extremely rude about it.I then decided to leave, and told her in no uncertain terms how rude she was.Absolutely disgusting behaviour from her. I really feel sorry for the staff. (Whilst she was away one told me it “was [the owner’s] way or no way” and that they expected “the wrath of [the owner]” upon her return.In short, this company is a nightmare and I wholeheartedly recommend you stay clear.Based on other reviews I’ve seen for this place I’m fully expecting some (passive?) aggressive reply to this review full of Covid excuses and nonsense...

Just had the most rediculus rude call so much so she can keep her product.This is the only way I can see to respond to the rubbish that hedgehogs state.We saw the advert on Ebay. We called independently to say we were driving though from the west to their place to purchase direct from the nursery. She was so belligerent that we could not get a word in. So much so the - 'You listen to me' was her attitude. She really needs to understand what a genuine customer is. I subsequently bought +£225 worth of hedging plants from Scott plants near Beth - fantastic service and nice people. Go there.

Have to say that when I was at the nursery today, purchased some excellent scottish heathers, great plants. The person that helped me was super as always and can recommend the garden centre. The plants are very healthy and the staff helpful and polite.

My experience with your company hasn’t improved in time.I placed another order for Bare Root Beech hedge for November 21 to replace the high failure rate of the year before. These also failed. I have read on competitor’s sites that a failure rate of between 10% and 15% can occur. This was also quoted by your Staff member, Pat.You will realise how disappointed and out of pocket I am, when I tell you I have purchased 150 Beech Trees in total. 105 have failed.This is a 66% failure rate. Pat has asked me to send In photos as she did in the previous year and I have read on many reviews that this is a waste of time.I hope that my reviews will prevent others from waiting 2 years for their Beech Hedge.

Unfortunately they had to cancel my order of Buddleja due to frost but emailed to say they had refunded my money in full. I had also included in my order 10 deep rose pots which i received yesterday . So thank you I really appreciate your gesture.

AVOID!! I'm absolutely disgusted at the level of service I've received from this company.I ordered a 1 tonne bag of pebbles for delivery. They arrived and they are the wrong grade and they're completely covered in mud - basically I've bought a bag of mud with pebbles in it. I phoned the garden centre and i was told by a very unhelpful and angry man that its not his problem but his suppliers. Im sorry but Hedgehogs supplied these pebbles to me. I bought these in good faith and my invoice has Hedgehogs on it and not his suppliers. He said he wouldn't help and hung up on me - shocking service! I've since emailed them but I think they're ignoring me. AVOID AVOID AVOID !

Went with my mum to look for stones/chips for the garden. Every question I asked the man, he looked at me as if I was asking a silly question and was really just so lacking in customer service it was unbelievable.Though I didn't really want to spend my money there, I bought 9 bags of stones, when I asked if he had a wheel barrow or something similar to help move to the car, twice he asked me what a barrow was, again as if I had asked something silly. I just walked out.The couple who were being served after me ended up coming out the office and asking if they could help me (my mum had broken her wrist so she couldn't assist). It says something when another customer and not the business is asking to help you.I need more stones to finish my garden but I refuse to spend money with him.I would definitely not recommend this place, and with reading his responses on other reviews left, all come across verging on aggressive if they aren't positive.

I feel compelled to write a review for this company - all too often people are quick to moan and criticise, but then forget to give praise where it's due. So here it is!I was looking for a specific plant for a friend, and was guided to the website of Hedgehogs Nursery through a Google search. Firstly, I was delighted to find a company in Scotland which had exactly what I was looking for, so I placed an order, giving my friend's address details and hoped for the best! My hopes for a good outcome were exceeded. My friend tells me that the plant was incredibly well packaged, and in beautiful, healthy condition - she sent me a video of the plant, and it does indeed look fantastic. I'm really pleased to have found a wee gem, and I'm sure I'll either be visiting the nursery and/or placing more orders in the future.I would definitely not hesitate to recommend Hedgehogs Nursery after my experience.
