Walked past and decided to give it a go. We were blessed with the weather so were able to eat al fresco as the place was already fully booked. The service team was very helpful and friendly and the food was very tasty. The surprise of the day for me was the pickles that came with the bread. I’m not usually a pickles person as I often find them a bit too sharp or salty but these ones were perfect for me. The only thing I’d say, and it’s purely personal preference, is that I would’ve preferred the bread to be softer and more like bread loaves rather than the crunchy bruschetta pieces that were served. This would’ve allowed me to mop up the sauce.A nice and unexpected surprise treat overall. If you’re looking for a place to chill and share a selection of bite size good food, this is certainly a hidden gem worth considering.

The best tapas I have experienced. The food is just stunning. Our highlight was surprisingly the anchovies and the amazing pesto that they came with. We managed to get a walk-up without a reservation at a table near the bar. It is an intimate environment that is set up for tables of two, although there is one larger table. I used to love the previous Pichos business, but in terms of taste Purnell's smashes it.They were also able to adapt a good portion of the menu for a gluten intolerance and they had amazing gluten free bread. One criticism - the jackets we were wearing needed washing as they had picked up a really strong oil smell from the kitchen that persisted the next day. I don't know whether anything can be done with the ventilation, although this won't be a problem in warmer weather.

I was really looking forward to trying this place and was lucky enough to getinvited by friends celebrating their business anniversary.I can't wait to get back.I loved the ambience, the wine selection and cocktails. The open kitchen was great and you could see the dishes being prepped and brought straight over to you.The waiting and bar staff were super efficient and attentive.Just how it should be, thank you.I just didn't take many pics it's a first

The garlic prawn was so tasty! Perfect with bread. We had like 7 tapas, portion was small but enough for 2 people. The octopus and aubergine were super tasty. Meatball was nice too. They don’t have pork belly anymore which was a shame. We also ordered burrata salad which was nice with figs and nuts. The sangria was strong, service was great. The panna cotta desert was super creamy!! Would come back again :)

We dined here on Friday night, having read other reviews I was anticipating a more cramped and deep fried waft environment. There was seating outside, there is a small bar area inside to the right then you pass the kitchen and 3 tables of 2 high chairs in the window. We opted for a low/normal seated table of which there were 4 x 2, and a table for four at the end. See pics. The restaurant is compact but it certainly wasn't as narrow as other reviews hint at and we didn't leave smelling like a chip pan. We had five plates each which was more than enough. The best two were the octopus and chicken wings. The bravas was a bit bland, as were the croquettes. All the staff were friendly and smiley. I found it somewhat amusing that when we started to order in Spanish, it was clear they didn't know the Spanish names so I reverted to English. The interior was either sherry or wine barrel lids hung on the walls with artificial greenery. The music was Spanish but didn't quite work. If it's trying to recreate a pinchos/tapas bar, it didn't quite work for me. If you haven't been lucky enough to go to Spain or the Baleariacs then you won't notice and I'm sure will enjoy yourselves. It was pleasant enough but I wouldn't be rushing back. But go see for yourself.

First time visit and has a high expectation because the restaurant is linked with Purnells. Overall for the food, I’m a bit disappointed if I am really honest. I’m not saying it is bad but just nothing good, like a average restaurant. The tomato toast is nice and fresh. Just the toast itself is a bit cold. Chicken wing is alright, the sauce is too strong and overpowered the chicken flavour. The batter is quite soggy and easily fell off from the chicken. Gambas is another average dish, lack of prawn flavour and cooked quite badly, no browning or whatsoever. Or is it supposed to be a boil prawn? The aubergine is good at least, freshly cooked and still hot and crispy when served. Grilled octopus is not bad, still has a hint of octopus flavour and a bit of charcoal grilled aroma. Cod is good though, tender and well seasoned. Pork belly, the skin is really sticky and it’s hard to chew. It took me 10min to get rid of remaining sticky bit from my teeth literally. Flavour wise is ok but I think the pork is a bit dry and tough. The restaurant itself has a nice decor, but I found the back of the chair is too low which is not comfortable. Service from the waitress is good, they are attentive and explained the menus well. The food is reasonably priced but I think the quality can be better. I think it’s about the cooking technique rather than the quality of the food.

Absolutely top evening with the most delicious food and wine, and great service. Loved every dish we chose. Almost every dish deserves a mention but the chickpeas and prawns really were something else. Desserts were fantastic too - light and airy and utterly delicious. Lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again.
