First time there this evening and we are ready to return. Food was absolutely delicious and the truffle and parmesan fries were just a complete delight. Service was fast and the staff very friendly.Only criticism - you might want to install a ceiling fan for the two weeks a year when we see the sun.Count on us returning.

Loved it!! The venue may be small, but it's big on flavour!. Hopefully gets well supported by the locals so they can move to bigger premises! Book ahead of time so you can sit down, but the takeaways were busy all the time we were there. 5*

Had a young man called Will serve us today. Lovely charming chap. Recommended bang coq and it was amazing. Recommended a couple of drinks for me and my wife and I have to say this is a brilliant placeIf only we had something like this in Cornwall. Exciting food and drinks and fun to be in. Great place to eat and drink with great lovely charming staff. Can't fault it.

Hands down the best burger I have ever eaten! The Mac and Cheese fries are amazing! Super friendly and helpful staff and a beautifully decorated restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Hilariously named, Coq is a hidden gem.Towering burgers full of flavour and gorgeously thin and crispy fries. Every single bite we ate was brilliant, particularly the tiramisu!The decor is very modern with a couple of tall shared tables. There aren't many seats and I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment.Seating is VERY cozy, you're so close to your neighbours that you could join their conversation like a little happy family. If that's not your thing I would suggest booking for an early dinner (you should still go, the food is worth it!)

I’ve been an avid Coq fan for well over a year now and have sampled the entire menu multiple times. Hands down the best burgers I’ve ever tasted, the combination of flavours is incredible and their breakfast menu is equally outstanding. I don’t know how but they make bacon taste better than bacon! Really nice atmosphere and a great decor. Will, Olly, Joel and the rest of the guys couldn’t do more to make you feel welcome, they’ve really created something special there. If you haven’t been yet then more fool you.

Coqtails were fantastic and my partner said his burger was spot on. The fries were good too but sadly my veggie burger tasted weirdly fishy, don't know whether seaweed is used in it but I had to take all the cauliflower out because it was pretty grim. Hoping that's a one off, maybe will try again another time, as other than that it seems like a great place.

This place rocks. They do serve asahi for Octoberfest which is a questionable choice but the food is excellent, the staff is nothing but friendly and Riesling was all right, too.

Quite simply, they are the best burgers I've ever eaten. Three visits in, everything about this place oozes quality, love and care. From the welcome you get to the beautiful flavours, textures and all-around taste sensations of the burgers, it's always special. What an absolute gem of a restaurant!
