Notions Rescue: Mammal, Reptile & Parrot Rescue

A couple of weeks ago I got to adopt these two beautiful boys from Kate. They are the sweetest, friendliest little guys and i’m so over the moon that I got to adopt them! I saw them up for adoption on the notion’s website and sent over an email to say I was interested. Kate got back to me very quickly and the whole adoption process from there was super straight forward and quick, whilst also being thorough enough to ensure animals are going to the right homes and owners are educated in order to give them the care that they need.Kate was absolutely lovely and the work that she does is amazing, would 100% recommend to anyone looking to adopt! :)

We were in need of a single male for our bereaved guinea pig, and I had heard how difficult it could be to bond males, with potentially fighting! Kate was brilliant in offering a play date, and lots of advice. The two boys seem too have settled really well, and are really calm in each other's company. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of adopting any of their animals!

Having first beginning to follow notions after fostering a hedgehog late last year, it’s clear to see the time and dedication given to all animals under their care. Recently I fell in love with a rescued hamster and my boyfriend decided to foster him except as soon as I met him, I knew he would in fact not just be our foster baby. The adoption process was very straight forward and it’s obvious that all the necessary checks are done to ensure that adopted animals have the right enclosures and the owners have the right knowledge to give them the happiest lives.Overall, the work that notions do is above and beyond and it’s so lovely to see animals being placed in homes that are suitable and capable of fulfilling their needs. I would recommend to anyone looking to adopt or even foster a little friend ❤️

One of our boy guinea pigs passed away, so we took his buddy Guto ( 3yr old male) to Notions Rescue to do some speed dating to find him a new buddy. There were a few options including a beautiful baby boy called Max, but I instantly fell in love with a 3yr old boy called Gus. Bonding Gus and Guto was always going to be tricky because they were the same age and Gus had had a hard time in his childhood. Kate gave some super advice and with some perseverance, they were properly bonded within a week. Couldn't have done it without Kate though, who was on the other end of the phone to guide me through the process. They will have their first holiday together in North Wales in July.

My fiancé and I adopted three beautiful girls from this amazing rescue last year and the owner still checks in! Kate has so much love and passion for what she does, it's truly awe inspiring!

Kate is so lovely & has a wonderful set up! The whole process was so thorough and easy & our Guinea pigs have settled in really well. They have obviously been really well handled & cared for by Kate☺️ thank you! Xx

We had a lonely male guinea pig and wanted to pair him with another male but had heard horror stories of male guineas fighting. We took Scruffy to Notions Rescue, who paired him up with Speedy in a neutral environment. We were told what to watch out for, and after a full hour of observing Scruffy and Speedy's 'playdate' with Kate, we took them both home. It felt great to have professional advice on how to foster the blossoming relationship and one week on they're now inseparable. Adopt don't shop!

Recently set up a vivarium and came across Notions Rescue. I applied for Rosie (now Myrtle) a beautiful Crested Gecko.Kate is extremely passionate about what she does and is a blessing to so many animals.Thank you ☺️
