Hickling Broad
A wonderful place to walk, many waterfowl, rare migrating birds, and raptors. Thousands of dragonflies including the Norfolk hawker. If you visit at the right time of year you might spot the rare Swallowtail butterfly. The staff are friendly and helpful at reception. There is parking available. Ice creams are also available at reception.Perfect way to spend a day in nature.

A wonderfully peaceful place, rich in wildlife. We explored the broad on a 2-hour boat trip by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, which I'd recommend. It stops at some boat-access-only bird hides around the broad.

A beautiful peaceful area. Spent day walking thr trails and using the hides. Thoroughly enjoyed the one hour boat trip with John the guide who was full of interesting and informative facts. Good value at £10 for boat trip and £5 entry fee including gift aid. Great staff in the Visitor centre also very informative. A super place!

Hickling Broad
A beautiful slice of the 'wild' Broads, and a good example of what we almost lost with the enclosure acts. Now managed by Norfolk Wildlife Trust, entry is currently £4.50. Good hides but can be very wet underfoot after heavy rain. Excellent place to see Marsh Harriers (I saw 18!!), Muntjac, Cranes, and a first for me, Chinese Water Deer!
