The Hole In The Wall
The beer and prices are good, but they need some soft furnishings to the walls and ceiling to absorb the noise. You can not hear yourselves speak even when less than half full. So you speak louder, and then everyone else does, so it's a no-win.

Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for family visiting at the hospital. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good range of cask and keg beers on. Happy I made the visit

If you go I'd suggest not getting any of the chicken. 2 people got food poisoning on the same day.

The Hole In The Wall
Unexpected find, great little pub (esp if into your real ale/beer festivals). Loved it.Nice staff, serving are infront and behind bar tight on space (does mean you get served in sequence!).Some families were in and there appeared to be pub/board games which was unexpected on a Friday (gave it a lake districr/peak district feel). There s outdoor seating but by a road - it was quiet in the evening....not sure what it is like in the day.Evening street parking was easy enough.Didn't eat there so cannot comment on food.

Loved it here. Hubby loved the beer and the gin was the nicest I had. Lovely clean toilets. Just a cute little pub. Sitting out the front is surprisingly nice, just watching the world go by. Drinks were brought out really quickly .
