George really is a Knight in shining armour! After our boiler broke down and leaked I had Tinknells (someone I have used before for actual oil purchases) come out and look at the boiler. They told me the boiler bag is leaking and a whole new boiler needed to be installed. Later another Tinknells man came and looked at it and I got a huge quote of 7,000!!!! I cried. My partner was away which they were aware of caring for his Dad who had a stroke in another country and we were getting by only just with 2 young children. My partner pushed me to look around even though they had convinced me that it was irreparable. I found Tor property services and George came around the following morning. I told him the situation and he was shocked. He said, did they even take it apart to find the leak? I said no. George investigated and also explained that this so called bag that was leaking was an absolute lie and its actually just a bit of insulation on a metal door inside. The leak in fact wasn't even from the boiler but from a mains pipe behind. It was a corroded washer! There was in fact a part that had stopped working inside the boiler and needed replacing but that is it!!! The quote from Tinknells was inproportionate to the cost of the boiler replacement (only 2,500-3,000) and would only have taken a day to install (even though they wanted 5,000 in labour) George explained. George then serviced the boiler and it has been running like a dream for about a month now. I will not hesitate to use this extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy company again!
