Well worth a visit. Interesting history, unique location, sympathetic restoration by the National Trust. Only open a few days a year for visiting, but also a unique rental property.

As Art Deco property it was located in a fantastic place with open views across Portland harbour.I was a little concerned as to the size of the kitchen and dining room was on the very small side for the number of bedrooms in the property.Lovely furniture in some of the bedroom's.Gardens were ok but no flowers just shubs with the steps around the garden coordinated off as they were waiting for some planning application to repair.But overall it was interesting to see, but personally the design was not to my liking.

It feels like the house was built to party. Thoughtfully restored to add modern comforts, while retaining much of the original thirties feel. Spectacular views over Portland Harbour from most rooms, the terrace and the balcony.

Great holiday at Portland house, lots of character with art deco influence which I loved. Views from the balcony and terraces over the sea was such a pleasure to wake up to, eat breakfast to, and a general joy to be near. We had lots of fun playing lawn games and the it was easy access to Weymouth beach. Will look to return soon for the next special occasion!
