Village Hotel Newcastle
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay here. The staff were friendly and polite. However we were kept awake by the music booming through the walls and floors from the party being held on site. There were kids left to run amuck up and down the corridors at all hours of the night shouting and screaming.Room could do with updating as its looking shabby, and the shower was woefull. We did express our feelings to the staff but got the obligatoryoh I am sorry" response. We personally wouldn't stay here again nor would we recommend the hotel to others."

Great staff, a Starbucks onsite, pool, gym etc. All great. Food in the restaurant will make pub lovers happy. Overall a nice place to stay. Issues with hot water need fixing, it is winter, guys! Loved the bed, super comfy. Location is a slight let down, but nothing you can do about it.

I’ve been staying here regularly for years and the staff are amazing. They always go that little bit extra help to make it feel like my home away from home for me. Gym facilities are great, plenty of parking and if the bar isn’t your thing then there are regular buses to the city from just outside the hotel so no problems with location being a little further out than the city centre hotels, plus you avoid most of the traffic.

Excellent hotel let down by unclear parking rules. You are greeted by the parking booking and pay machine before you enter reception. I paid and of course I got no receipt to expense against. Check in was good although disappointed to then hear parking was included. This wasn't on clear or any on site signage so do check before you pay. Staff were helpful but unable to resolve the parking receipt as it is a separate company. This isn't good enough, they have the village logo so they should have been able to make a call or give me a contact number. The room was very good with modern facilities and bathroom but surprised there were no bedside sockets for phone charging or laptops. The bed was great and I slept fine although the room was warm. The food in the bar and at breakfast was very good and the staff attentive. Check out was quick with the minimum of fuss which is always welcome. Shame they do not have any destination chargers yet. Overall a good business stay.

We booked a two day residential event at Village Hotel Newcastle on 28th and 29th September. The hotel itself is great, the rooms were immaculate and the service from the staff was impeccable. They were super friendly and very accommodating and could not do enough for us. The food was amazing and all of our attendees commented on how great it was. Everyone had a brilliant time at the event and I would highly recommend booking this if you host similar events. I'll definitely be back for an overnight stay!

Absolutely amazing staff at Village Gym Newcastle. You are always greeted with a smile and no question ever sounds silly. In particular Vanessa and Cheryl. I heard one of them once having a conversation with an older man, providing really nice words of encouragement which actually stuck with me as well.Well done, ladies? Keep that positive energy alive.

Newcastle is one of the best in the Village Hotel chain. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on the local area. Sports bar and food were excellent. Room was clean and it had all amenities to control comfort with a Dyson hot and cool heater as well as electric radiators. Large comfortable bed and sizable TV. Spacious room enhanced the comfort experience.

Village gym is an excellent place to work out and destress.Cheryl on sports reception is full of life and a great addition to the vibe within the health club. Always talkative and polite.Special mention to John and poolside. Not only does he work very hard and is efficient, he always engages with the members in the male changing rooms and has a good rapport with them. Often he is busy with his long hose.5 Star ratings for all staff at village gym.

Here on business and couldn't be happier with the level of service and friendliness of the staff. Not the only hotel in the area and certainly not the cheapest but the service and facilities available certainly reflect in the price and is great value. My only gripe is the noise level, near a main road which is busy till late and as the hotel also caters for non-guests to use the swimming and spa facilities it is busy till about 10pm. I was at the front of the hotel and had to keep my window closed to reduce the noise.
