Visiting Anglesey with my cockapoo was an absolute delight! The island's natural beauty is breathtaking, offering picturesque landscapes that left us in awe. The dog-friendly beaches were a standout, allowing my furry companion to frolic in the waves and enjoy the sandy shores. The warm and welcoming locals made the experience even more memorable, always ready with pet-friendly suggestions and charming conversations. Anglesey's historic sites, such as the enchanting Beaumaris Castle, provided a fascinating glimpse into the past and made our exploration truly enjoyable. The island's tranquility, coupled with its diverse range of outdoor activities, ensured an unforgettable vacation for both me and my beloved cockapoo. Anglesey undoubtedly ranks high on the list of must-visit destinations for pet-friendly adventures!

It's so wonderful, blue sky, beautiful views, nice weather, quiet and peaceful. Great to walk along the sea to see rocks in different sizes , shapes and colors. Lots of birds.

I only spent a few hours in Holyhead on Anglesey but had a lot of fun there and on my way there.I couldn't get close to Skinner's monument as the steps were the only way to get there and back.I discovered a lot, having only previously been aware of The Maritime Museum, the Bistro and the lighthouse. EVERYTHING else was a new discovery for me. I hadn't even been aware of the ferry ⛴ terminal. That added to the fun.The walk across Holyhead to and from the museum was not kind on my ankles but I did manage to get back to the train station nearly two hours before I had originally intended AND just in time to catch an alternative train. I had another giggle later on when I saw that the train I had planned to travel on had been cancelled. Lucky me!!!

Love Anglesey, it's a beautiful place. So many lovely beaches and stunning coastlines. So many things to do and see. Download the pay by phone app beforehand as nearly all carparks are pay and display.

The most beautiful island with more stunning beaches than I can count. So many incredible places of interest & even more hidden gems to boot. The best thing to do is get yourself a local guide to direct you off the beaten path to some of the more interesting & less tourist laden locations but even if this isn't possible there's so much to see and do.The inland sea in Valley is such a treat, warm, shallow & great for kids or paddle boarding. The Catch 22 brasserie is wonderful too.Powys mountain feels like walking into another world.Anglesey gin is made from the botanicals growing by the coast & is well worth a try & there's so much more to see & do.We've surfed down sand dunes in Aberfraw, watched stunning sunsets, visited ancient ruins & cooked dinner on the beach, all without going near the busier attractions. If you haven't been it's well worth a visit & enough to do to fill a blissful week or two.

Fabulous place for a holiday. A big thumbs up from our dog! Our focus was the beaches and the beautiful coastal scenery.Inland paths not great in the area where we were staying. The cows lined up for a photo after we were chased out of their field. Also many paths and stiles impassable due to lack of use.
