No stars - never come across such a terrible system, cannot get access to data, cannot change data, 3 agents cannot help, need to just change a phone number, took 3 hours of calls to be told to call on Monday a different number

Shocking, waited 45 mins, still no answer, instead of them saying it was so many minutes waiting time the day before, they should say your number is before you, while your waiting. No wonder you cant get sorted out with your taxes and then they sting you

I was contacting the DIY VAT team to follow up my claim post build.I have sent in my paperwork as instructed, within 3 months of the building completion certificate - over 3 months ago. According to recorded delivery my correspondence arrived on 19-12-22.Preamble message advised me that I should expect to get an acknowledgement within 10 days and payment 30 days thereafter. No sign of either! I phoned a few weeks ago and was advised that my paperwork was probably in storage, there was a back-log and things were taking longer than usual; they couldn't even tell me that my claim was in the system. Today, I can't even get through on the phone - it just said there's too many calls goodbye. Stunning!

Called the number on a letter I received, on hold for 30 mins, told it was wrong department. No transfers or call backs. Called another number, told much the same. Now on to my 4th call, total time on phone approaching 3 hours. 1 star is extremely generous.

My wife contacted DWP to request a breakdown of incomplete years of NI contributions. They responded with a comprehensive list showing a number of incomplete years, so she decided to buy 9 of these which they suggested would give her the maximum state pension.After paying for a total of 9 years, she received confirmation from HMRC showing the value of her increased four weekly state pension amount and this also showed that they had only allocated 8 additional years of the 9 she had purchased. It appears that because she had received two payments of state pension in that year, they were unable to allow that year to be bought.She then received a letter from HMRC to advise they would be returning the funds for the year they were unable to allocate.After waiting 5 weeks for the money to be returned, she rang HMRC to check why this had not been received. She was advised that it is currently taking 35 weeks to process a refund!!Totally unacceptable
