I left my Timberland watch for repair a week ago. Returned today and it was working. Appeared to have been the battery. However , inexplicably they had replaced the strap with a cheap one . I asked whether they still had the original Timberland strap and the guy simply said it would have been thrown away! Why they removed the strap in the first place , I have no idea . Not happy with that at all. Shocking . Technically this is theft.

The guys in here could not be more helpful and understanding, Timpsons who I normally use in Bluewater really let me down with a specific shoe repair. These guys really came through for me. I will be using them forever now. They don't even know how much I appreciated the job they done for me and the service I received was incredible, thank you

We got a new watch battery installed. They were very quick (about 15 minutes) and also much fairer pricing than the chain watch shops in town.

The staff was very rude and customer service was appalling. Instead of apologise he reluctantly admitted his poor service.First and last .

I visited the shop this morning with my sister who was due to fly to France just a couple of hours later. He new bag (not bought from Steads) had broken and she was really upset.The man explained that the best option was to put a couple of rivets in, gave us a price and said to come back in 30 mins. We returned after 30 mins to collect the bag. He had done a beautiful job (restitched and riveted.)Fast service, quality job and good price.

A friend took my wife’s watch here to have a battery replaced as the local jeweller was shut. What a mistake the watch stopped working an hour after being fitted so we suspected either a dodgy battery or the watch had been broken. I took the watch back to the store that very morning and explained the situation. The person was so rude he could not even be bothered to turn around to discuss how he was going to check my wife’s £2500 watch that they could have quite possibly broken. I was told to come back in half an hour and he would fit a new battery. I returned after half an hour to be told the second battery did not work so it was possibly the watch. I was told to come back the following day and hopefully he would have looked at it. I returned the same evening to see if it had been fixed and he had finally got it working after 2 faulty batteries and no apologies. 2 weeks on from this my wife has now lost the back to the battery compartment of her tag watch has it had not been refitted securely. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE

Got my boots resoled and Steads have done a great job with them. Really professional finish.

Went into Stead’s this morning to have some shoes repaired. Was surprised when I was told they will be ready inside 40 mins, genuinely thought I would be picking them up next week. Price was more than reasonable. Glad I went here instead of timpsons. Will be using Stead’s from now onwards. 100% recommended
