The lovely lovely people at Altered States made some alterations to my wedding dress - shortened the shoulders (I have no idea how, but you could never tell), hemmed it beautifully, hand-stitched the lining closed and painstakingly pressed the pleats in the skirt. All within the week! Not only was Stephen so friendly and knowledgeable, I was blown away by the end result. Would definitely use Altered States again - worth every penny. Thank you!

Stephen and his team designed and made my wedding suit and I could not have been happier. The suit was great but it was the service that stood out for me and I had no hesitation in recommending them to a few of my friends/wedding guests and Stephen looked after them too.I would like to say a big thank you to Stephen and his team for making sure that there was at least one aspect of the wedding that I did not have to worry about.I'll be returning for more suits (but not another wedding suit hopefully).

Very professional offering. I required quite a bit of work to be done to a suit jacket that had become too big and a dinner suit that I wanted to have a slimmer fit. I have had mixed experiences with tailors in the past but the tailor here was very professional and reassuring, explaining adjustments and whether or not they were necessary. I would recommend these tailors to anyone for their high quality service. Some of the alterations were expensive and that is the only reason they haven’t received a five star rating. But you get what you pay for, and a well fitted suit transforms your look and confidence.

Fabulous service and quality of work. Had two dresses altered for a wedding and they looked fantastic. My husband had two complete outfits made - trousers, shirts, waistcoats. He looked amazing in them and so many people commented on how lovely we both looked in our outfits. Highly recommend Altered States.

I highly recommend Altered States. They provided me with an excellent service. Stephen was very professional and friendly at all times. Thanks to his incredible eye for detail and extensive knowledge, I now have a beautiful new high quality suit that fits me perfectly. I will definitely be using their services again in the near future!

Stephen and his son are amazing tailors whether it be making a suit from scratch or adjusting suits you have purchased else where, Thier attention to detail and honest suggestions are 2nd to none.This week I popped in and they didn't have suits that I liked, in the current climate, I can't try suits on, Stephen came with me to another retailer to cast his eye over the shape of the suits before taking them back to his shop to tailor fit, you really can't get better then that!!!

Superb! I have received the same excellent service and beautiful workmanship on a £90 pair of jeans or a £900 dress. Absolutely recommended, especially for delicate womenswear (which may not be immediately obvious from the shopfront). They can make you look 6lbs lighter with a few tucks! Stunning suits made to order as well.Thanks to the team there. I hope you continue to grace Bluewater with your presence, despite the despicable recent rent rises, Sharron.

Steve at Altered States did a superb job of handling all aspects of tailoring for my wedding party consisting of 9 men. He made us the most amazing bespoke shirts for groom and best men and tailored all of our suits and we all looked amazing on the day so we owe that to you! Nothing was too much trouble..... thanks again see you soon!

Excellent service performed very quickly. Bought a last minute suit in Bluewater which needed some tailoring, the guy at Altered States performed the alterations to a waistcoat and trousers in just a few hours. Friendly service, reasonable price (£18 for trousers £40 for waistcoat with urgency). Highly recommend

Even though i live in Brighton i visited this tailors to have a bespoke suit made for my daughters wedding which is in August this year ,It was by far the best fitting suit I've had.I tried it on last weekend having lost weight ,the suit no longer fitted as well as before.I went back to the shop and they altered everything promptly and FOC,it is once again the best fitting suit I've had .They couldn't have been more helpful whenever I've been into the shop and i highly recommend them if you want a suit.
