The standard of the carvery has definitely raised. We used to avoid this particular carvery and opt for a further away Toby but after trying it again a few months ago the food has been consistently good. The staff all seem to be new fresh faces & they're a great team! Service is impeccable. Ollie on the bar is an absolute asset to the brand and very personable & a genuinenice lad. The main reason we avoided this place before was a rude staff member, not sure if she's still there but we don't notice because now there's a completely different ambiance to the Place. Paige seems to run the pub effectively yet effortlessly and is always on the go making sure the environment is clean & tidy. The team seem to have a great rapport which adds to the inviting atmosphere. I can definitely say that the people make a pub & the staff here are excellent. Great service, good food & a nice pint too.

My brother and myself went for the first time to this location. We both had the carvery, meat was cooked beautifully, the beef melted in your mouth, great choice of vegetables, which was followed by a lovely dessert each. We were looked after by very friendly staff, as my brother is deaf/non verbal, this was much appreciated. I have been to my local carvery a few times and although this one was a far distance from my Brother's carehome I will definitely take him there again. If you want a good meal in pleasant surroundings this is the place to go

Visited here on a sunday with family. Impressed with the food. So glad the lamb was on. Was delicious and enough choice of veg for me.Only gripe was some of the veggies weren't hot enough - very luke warm and also price of the drinks. Glass of merlot £7.80!! Wasn't even nice wine.. Would definitely visit again though for the food.

Very poor meal, the food was barely cooked, Roast potatoes were raw, mash was full of hard lumps, carrotts were dry and meat carver appeared to be carving with a grudge of sharing the meat. Turkey slices when held up to the light were transparent. The yorkshires were also dry and very over cooked almost burnt There were no pigs in blankets to comment upon.

Not going back, beef carvery very little beef had to fill plate with veg, breakfast even worse bacon you could snap in your hand, rest not much better, sorry otherwise OK,

After arriving a good 40 minutes before our booking time the staff were still able to get us seated. Great food, and the non carvery items were served promptly after ordering. Will definitely revisit

normally go around 6 pm, but arrived just after 2pm. the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. food was lovely and fresh and beautifully cooked so pleased that there was a slight tinge of pink to the beef. would have been 5 stars but the ladies toilet nearest the food was out of order and a sign on the desk would have been helpful that and the cubicle doors need completely replacing.

Good staff generally but they did try to get you out the door after two hours (the place was empty). The food was lovely (carvery) and not very expensive. I only had tea and coffee so I can not talk about other drinks but no one complained in our group so that must be a good thing, but I did think both the tea and coffee let the side down. Both were bland and weak. These are small problems and easily fixed. Over all I'd give it a high eight with ten being excellent. I will go again.
