If you are looking for somewhere rural to ride, to escape into nature, with stunning scenery, this place is just awesome. If you want to take friend who has never ridden before it's perfect . The horses are well looked after , fun to ride and the staff are fantastic too.

A taste of paradise:We absolutely loved every minute of our trail horse riding holiday. The instructors and staff we have met (Dawn, Florentina, Fred, Nat and Katy) were all fabulous; they were very professional, patient and kind and they were always ready to help us out.Dawn has shown us some picturesque landscapes and trails that we could have only dreamed of. The horses were well matched to our personalities ;-) (thank you Sox, Pearl and Danny :-)).Our riding skills have improved massively in the 4 days we have spent at Springhill Farm.The accommodation was clean and suitable for the holiday with good quality bunk beds. The provide food was delicious and fresh. We are definitely coming back.

I did the 5 night ride at Springhill & the horses, our guide (Liz) & the scenery were top notch. The weather was of course variable & effective waterproofs are a must, but Liz did her best to work round the rain.There is mostly walking with occasional trots/canters, but the spread out canters/gallops in the latter half of the stay had us all grinning.The accommodation is basic but clean, & the wifi is very slow (you need to request a voucher). But just ask hosts, Steve or Sue, if you need anything & it will appear!

Fabulous morning riding at Springhill today. It was a first time riding for two of us and we were well looked after. The weather was kind to us and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. Thank you for making our day so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Springhill farm riding to everyone.

We have just returned from our 3rd trip in 6 months. We have totally fallen in love with this place, the staff and the horses. Dawn and Liz are incredible ride leaders, so knowledgeable and encouraging and my daughter gains so much experience in such a short time each visit. Sue is hugely accommodating in fitting us in as and when we need our riding fix. This truly feels like our spiritual home. We will be coming back for many more visits no doubt.

Just had my sixth trip to Springhill since 2020 and already plotting my return later in the year. Both Liz and Sue and their whole team could not work harder to make your visit any more enjoyable. The horses and ponies are fabulous, accommodation ideal and 30 seconds from the yard for tacking up in the morning , if you want to help. The scenery is stunning and the riding wonderful and varied. Can't wait to get back.

On recommendation from a friend I booked 2 full day treks. Wow, what a fabulous experience, the horses are fit, healthy and more importantly, HAPPY! I rode a stunning Connemara mare, Pearl who was forward going, sure footed as a mountain goat, willing and SO PRETTY. She looked after me every day. It was a pleasure to ride her. Dawn, our friendly guide for 2 days was really knowledgeable not only about the horses but our surroundings, we stopped often so I could take photos and ask questions about the area. she really made our treks so special. I stayed in the huge bunk house, it can sleep 18 I think but there were only 2 of us staying. Large comfy bunk beds, great well equipped kitchen and huge dining area and spotlessly clean. The downstairs shower was brilliant, please could we have the same upstairs?!All in all, a great way to see remote Wales and meet new friends. I’ll be back! THANK YOUI’ve now been back to the stunning Springhill Farm in July and September 2022. Our guides Liz & Dawn are so knowledgeable and experienced horsewomen. The welfare of their horses is paramount and they’re very well looked after. Each ride is as enjoyable as the last one. I’ve never been on the same route twice! All in all a great riding experience in a beautiful rural location with little phone reception- perfect! Thank you to all who work so hard to make our holiday experience so wonderful

Really nice rural location with nice comfortable facilities for large groups.Really nice horse riding and archery lessons organised by the hosts.Wonderful couple who go out of their way to make it a memorable stay.

Not our first visit and it certainly won’t be the last. Always a friendly welcome from Sue & Steve. Our guides (Liz, Dawn & Carol) are great company and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride. The fit, forward going horses are excellent (with something to suit all levels of experience and confidence). The day rides offered are a great way to experience the spectacular scenery of the Welsh Borders countryside.

A great stables with amazing horses. Ben was a star! Very well behaved they rarely spook or anything. Staff are amazing had a lovely holiday!
