Only had dinner here, but great experience. Typical country house hotel, family run, offering a good selection of very tasty, well cooked dishes. Service was excellent and the food amazing.

Had an overnight stop and dinner at La Fleur de Lys. Fabulous food, both dinner and breakfast, a really well thought out room, with lots of nice touches, homemade biscuits and phone chargers. Really welcoming hosts and staff.Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Booked an Anniversary dinner and were not disappointed, fabulous service, quiet evening, the food is out of this world at every course. Delicious food, well cooked with attentive service. Well worth the expense. We'll be back again soon.

Had an absolutely amazing meal celebrating my sister in law’s birthday! So welcoming, food looked astonishing and tasted delicious! But the service was just exceptional! It was my first visit but definitely not the last one! Definitely Shaftesbury’s gem! Thank you for beautiful evening!

This place is a pure delight! Beautiful food, hosts are attentive and staff very helpful. The attention to detail and service is outstanding. Rooms are clean and comfortable and even have a small fridge! The location is handy to everything and very quiet. Highly recommended

A lovely olde world venue, with traditional old fashioned good service. Food was excellent and well presented. We had chowder to start and a monkfish and veal for our mains followed by desserts. Six courses between 2 and a couple of drinks was less than £120, so it was good value. Recommend.

Exceptional service, the hotel treat you like royalty.We stayed over one night after walking Hell's Lane in North Chideock and booked in for dinner as the reviews were fantastic.We were due to go on for another circular walk, but decided to explore Shaftesbury instead.The food and service was excellent, you couldn't fault it.
