Listed as 4 star, room was freezing cold when I complained at the reception I was given another duvet as the heater is broken. My room was on the lower ground floor and I can hear all the noise coming from upstairs so couldn’t even sleep well. I made a mistake of booking for a wrong date then I intended to travel and there was no comms why I was a no-show even through they had my contact details. I ended up making a new booking for almost the same price

Very nice small boutique hotel close to Buckingham palace. In a really posh area. I has a single room, small but nice new clean and well equipment. Kettle, tea and coffee and complimentary water. They have elevator. The bed was very comfortable and nice heating. No refrigerator but can set thing outside on window. Great breakfast in the morning. Very good experience

Extremely pleased. Breakfast excellent in everything . Booked 2 Superior rooms with the ground floor one having a good light aspect. Unfortunately our relatives were not so lucky but would still definitely recommend.

Beautiful old building in quaint central London neighbourhood. Very close to Victoria Station. Exceptionally friendly service...very welcoming. Room was clean and cozy. Shower was a little weak and took forever to warm up, but otherwise everything was top notch!

The Windermere Hotel, London
Old, stale inn that I romanticized from my first trip to Europe in 1992. Unfortunately, I was given a high floor room, where you had to take 2 small additional flights of stairs on a very noisy street. I could hear conversations 3 stories below like they were next to me. The room smelled stale and musty, like it was old (which it is), the decor is tired and theres a two inch gap under my room door with another room immediately next door where I could hear kids playing. So before touching anything, I went back downstairs to tell them the room wasn't going to work for me and asked nicely for a refund. The young guy at the desk said he couldn't do it but that I was welcome to talk to the owner. I departed to return to the hotel I had come from to see if they could give me a room. They did and the Hyatt staff was great about it. The owner and I spoke about 2 days later and she stated emphatically that she could not give me a refund as it was 72 hours cancellation. So I lost more than $700 as I was charged for 3 full days stay on my vacation. It helped me confirm that I will not only never return to this property, it also helped lose the romantic idea that my very first trip to London was that great. This inn is ideal if your looking for a hostel type stay in a good location, or if your in your 20s and dont care about what kind of inn you stay at or about street noise. Other than that, it's old, musty, the rooms are tiny, decor is dated and the inn keeper still has my money. Good for her. She lost me as a customer permanently and I hope my review brings pause to others. There are so many other worthy inns and hotel chains in London and I encourage you to seek them out. Wander away from the Windermere.

This is a remarkable small hotel. The rooms are quiet - particularly notable considering the surroundings. As is the norm for London, rooms are on the small side, but are clean and comfortable.A bonus is the free breakfast at the attached Pimlico Grid restaurant. Food is of good quality with a batteries menu. The location is good as well. Most of central London lies within a 20 minute walk.

Excellent hotel at a reasonable price. A great location that is close to Victoria station and from there it is possible to get anywhere in London. Family atmosphere and attitude. The hotel is run by a family and it feels that way. The rooms are clean. An unusual and pleasantly surprising breakfast. Prepare exactly what you like and everything is fresh. Highly recommended. There are two types of rooms, you should take the superior rooms which are spacious and equipped with an espresso coffee machine.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the hotel with our daughter. Perfect location for exploring and everyone at the hotel is friendly and accommodating. Love the little touches which make it feel like a home from home. Amazing breakfast and service. Will definitely return for some more exploring. Thanks for an amazing stay!
