We've used Hammond's over the years when visiting Suffolk. Train from London to Halesworth, we're met at the station, making it all very easy. Prices reasonable, and the rentals are current models, mostly Fords. This one was a Focus ST. Excellent gas mileage, nice car. Very friendly people. Much better than renting from one of the majors at Heathrow.

I used the Hammond website to book a Luton van. The online process went without a hitch. I noted that I could reduce the insurance excess by paying a few pounds more if I wished. The only thing I noticed which almost lost them me as a customer as well as a star, was that I could not collect the hire van before 8am. So anyway, I showed up at 8am and found a clean yard and reception office, an immaculate van, and polite friendly and helpful staff. The vehicle controls were demonstrated to me and the paperwork completed. When I returned I received the same high standard of service. I would definitely recommend van hire from Hammonds Halesworth.
