Great little place with plenty on offer, all comes fresh to order by a friendly couple only happy to help you.The Auchtermuchty (bacon and haggis bap) is excellent, and the recommendation of the chili jam was spot on. Will definitely be back next time we're visiting Craster

Craster is a pretty little village, Dunstanburgh Castle is really impressive, then when you get back to the car park you see this small haven. Try the Craster kipper bun (after walking past the smokehouse up the road!) and Auchtermuchty (haggis and bacon - match made in heaven). Delicious. Pipers Pitch is a fabulous little cafè, staff very friendly and food delicious. Good prices too (two substantial sandwiches with a tea and a coffee £10.70).

Highly recommend. Delicious drinks (I tried latte and mocha) served in real mugs! And the food is amazing. The Auchtermuchty is a huge bun filled with layers of bacon and haggis. It will fill you up for a days walking!The owners are so nice and friendly too. I will definitely call again anytime I’m near Craster.

Hadn't had a kipper for years but the kipper roll at Pipers pitch was excellent!and the dog enjoyed the skins! Family had great bacon rolls and flat sausage and egg rolls with great cups of tea and coffee,wish we lived nearer,would go there regularly!was really enjoyed after the long trek to the castle and back. Great service and local info.too.

We visited Piper’s Pitch twice this week while in Craster . As in two previous years we immensely enjoyed our meals . Yesterday’s Auchtermuchty ( haggis and bacon ) cob superb together with a bacon and brown sauce cob ! Tea and coffee good value too . Very pleasant and happy owner even when extremely busy ! Would happily recommend .

Great wee place! Would highly recommend the 'Auchtermuchty', possibly the best breakfast roll I've ever had. Appreciated the kipper skins for the dog too!

A fabulous Craster kipper inna bun (RIP Terry), with a proper big mug of good coffee, and then the sun came out. Even got some kipper skins for the dogs to make up for them only getting to walk 12k because we thought the weather would be grim.What lovely people at Pipers Pitch... I love it when people are genuinely warm, inquisitive and chatty, it makes me feel hope instead of despair for this country. Well worth a visit.

Menu prices have changed again - completely understandable and worth every penny. We took a detour on the way north to Banburgh to have breakfast here. It was worth every narrow country lane and the car park charge.

Lovely smoked kipper in a bun (with a bit of chilli relish!). My wife had a hot chocolate too which was really nice. Didn't catch the owner's name but had a great conversation with him too. Great food and experience!
