Very amateur service from the restaurant staff. The chicken and steak pies went down well but the chicken with haggis was very dry and sauce was flavourless. Deserts were thr nicest part of the meal, apple crumble was great!

Great place to Stay - we visited Plodda Falls and stayed there with the 2 dogs. Fab stay! lots of space in the bedroom. Lady that owns it will give loads of advice on places near by. :)

Had evening meal at hotel on Sunday and again tonight. Food lovely but presentation not brilliant, and small menu. The special has been the same all week since we pop in last Saturday evening. The drinks are expensive and once again the draft larger has been off all week.

Lovely little hotel run by a helpful, nice family.Cosy room, spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom products.Was at the end of the season so food menu was a little limited but the fayre was good home cooking.

I ordered a vegan burger, and it was the absolute worst, got served a dry bun, and a dry vegan beef that tasted like cat food. Nothing else in the bun, not even dressing or salad. Sad to say I’m very disappointed, I had my hopes up for this cozy looking restaurant.

Passed the tomich hotel looking for a coffee break on our way to plodda falls.A sweet young lady with a baby invited us in and showed us seating area.The coffee was great and so where the scones and cake.The interior may be outdated but the ambiance was superb, service 10/10Would really recommend

Honestly, couldn’t fault this evening’s meal in this homely little hotel at Tomich. For me - tender steak and ale pie w puff pastry, excellent salty chips, greens that were tasty and had some bite - would have been good in a posh gastro pub anywhere at 50% more. Family had decently spicy Thai green curry and sticky rice, and well-cooked salmon fillet. Cold beer, and a proper fire. All good.

Stopped in for an evening meal and thought the friendliness and hospitality was best in the area. We both had pan fried cajun chicken, jasmine rice, mango chutney and steamed fennel. It was superbly cooked and after being on the hills for the day it was perfect. Great find in a beautiful area.
