Stopped off here for a bite to eat at lunch. Entered the building and was met by a member of staff who guided us to a table. Not long after we sat down someone came to take our order but we were still deciding so she kindly gave us a few more minutes. Order was taken and this was when we realised that the cafe closes at 1:30pm and we had arrived at 1:20 ish but this did not seem to be a problem. The staff were great, helpful and could have a bit of banter with them as well. The food soon arrived and it was good. The chicken fillets were very good as was the cheeseburger and the sausage and chips. No this was not all for me. We would have had desert but we did feel bad about keeping everyone behind so we paid up and went on our way. This is a good cafe and happily recommend it to any traveller or passer by who is looking for a good bite to eat at a reasonable price.

Just popped in for a cup of tea to this busy little cafe. Friendly staff though a little slow to get served perhaps because they were busy and had the extra cleaning for Covid-19. Will eat next time as the menu looked good.

If you’re doing the NC500 and leaving John O’Groats early, head for Peerie’s in Scrabster for breakfast! This place is perfect - proper, hearty breakfast; friendly staff and really Covid-safe.Places like this get labelled a, “greasy spoon”, cafe - but this deserves a better description! No frills cafe on the edge of a busy working harbour - and better than any fluffed up “tea-house”, on the route!

My wife and I stopped in, each had the 'standard' breakfast & coffee. Excellent black pudding, and very tasty tattie scones. Friendly staff, good value. Hope we'll get to visit again!

The best breakfast in town, speedy and friendly service. In a nice spot overlooking the busy Scrabster harbour. A suitable place to stop off and relax before catching the ferry to Orkney.
