Los Olivillos is a riding holiday business in the Sierra Tejeda national park in Andalucia, Spain. Our guests come to us from all over the world. We usually have around fifteen horses. We need horses that suit every type of rider. Our guests range from complete beginners to people who work with horses or compete full time in one of the many equestrian disciplines .Los Olivillos horses are a selection of schoolmasters, bombproof, forward going, and spirited. The horses need to be adaptable, predictable, and safe.I have always believed you only need two things to bring on well schooled, well mannered, amazing horses....those two things are Endless time and Patience...Or there is Carley.Carley is what I consider a rarity in the horse world. She under sells and over delivers. Always putting the safety and welfare of the horse before anything. I love Carley’s gentle and compassionate approach. She has the knowledge and ability to be a confidence builder, with her unimaginable patience of positive reinforcement.Carley came to help us with two horses, one a very excitable youngster, and the other a six year old with a mounting issue.Carley has a kind, softly spoken, gentle way about her. Our horses blossomed under her care, and grew in confidence with her attention and understanding.I have the greatest respect for everything Carley does, she works hard and tries hard with her talent.....our horses are amazing thanks to her guidance and support.Carley O’Callaghan is a fantastic horsewoman, she has a gift. Carley is absolutely amazing she is compassionate caring and so friendly. She has helped me so much and her knowledge and kindness with my daughters pony has been lovely to see. She has totally understood how my confidence had gone and just really struggled to load but with her help and support she has really helped me.I can wholeheartedly say she will help and support you as well as the issues you may have with our horses.

I consulted Carley at considerate horsemanship after my warmblood started suffering with laminitis. Carley was able to provide me with comprehensive dietary advise and he has kept sound ever since!

My boy has only loaded into a lorry / trailer a handful of times since I’ve owned him so it’s not a regular occurrence due to us having no transport. Plans made involving a trailer in November so we started now to give my boy plenty of time.Carley was amazing, so kind, gentle and considerate to my big lad who was slightly anxious to begin with. 10 STARS ALL ROUND ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I called Carley at very short notice to help me to view a horse. The next day she assisted and was great help looking out for things I wouldn't have even considered looking for. Unfortunately the horse was not suitable however Carley didn’t make me feel like I had wasted her time, she was happy to be there and give feedback on the horses behaviour and movement and was great at explaining everything thoroughly. So grateful for carleys assistance and support and I will not hesitate to book her to accompany me on any future viewings for sound professional judgment and advice! Thank you so much Carley!!

I have a Gypsy Cob called Noah who has quickly learnt how to get out of things he doesn’t want to do! I lack confidence in my ability and he has the intelligence to use this to his advantage. I have to use a mounting block due to my disabilities and advancing years and he has to be able to stand still when I get on, however he has quickly learnt to swing his bottom out. This is when I realised I needed help and called Carley to help me deal with this frustrating problem. She has years of experience and in-fact give me lots of confidence when we were on the same yard when she was only 14 (I had given up riding due to problems had ended up riding again with Carley)! She is quiet, calm and patient and uses the intelligent horsemanship techniques. She taught Noah how to stand perfectly at the mounting block. She also helped me by teaching Noah how to walk in hand correctly without dragging me off to a patch of grass (his favourite thing to do in the world!). She has also helped me desensitise him to the clippers. He is a hairy cob and has had problems with feather mites, pastern dermatitis and Mallanders for many years, and also he has healthy skin now he thought it would hurt. All these things have helped enormously with cementing my relationship with my beautiful horse.Without Carley’s assistance I would still be struggling with these issues. I have no hesitation in recommending her to give sympathetic, patient and practical advice in a way that completely benefits the horse.

Carly came to help me with my sassy opinionated little mare. We had history of being a sticky loader and more recently decided non loading was our thing.Carly came and worked her magic, she was calm, patient and understanding of my mare and her needs. She sussed the issues quickly and got to work making her more confident and understanding of what we were asking her.Even when I was adament this mare would never load again, Carly was positive and reassured me we would get there.My mare loaded beautifully, in hand and on her own.We have homework to get on with as practice makes calm and confident horses! I found Carley when I was looking for my first horse to buy and I knew I would need help with the training due to having a few years break in between. I messaged her and she was very helpful from the beginning. She helped me settling my boy into his new home and we started our sessions shortly after. Carley is a lovely person and very passionate about her job. She makes you feel very welcome and training with her is always fun! I can definitely recommend her to anyone, she always makes sure that horse and owner are happy. I am very grateful to have her with me on this journey!

I first met Carley in Spain on a riding holiday a few years ago. What struck me then was how calm and in tune with horses she was. Moving on a few years, Carley is now putting that talent to good use by helping horses who have behavioural problems put their fears behind them and become happy and confident.
