We used Philip Clay Furniture Designs when we fully refurbished our house and needed some storage solutions. We needed fitted wardrobes in 2 bedrooms and wanted a full wall bookcase and television frame in the living room. Phil was remarkably friendly and thoughtful of our restrictions (both in terms of space and budget). The design process was genuinely enjoyable, and involved a number of discussions with Phil to get a product that was optimal in terms of both utility and aesthetic. Everything was delivered on time and fitted efficiently. Lovely guy to have around the house during the fitting, and an end product which we have enjoyed using for the past 2 years.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Phil’s overall service was outstanding. He designed me a beautiful, bespoke desk for my recording studio. His knowledge was excellent, and his deaign and suggestion took my studio to another level. Throughout all this, whilst he would suggest ideas and open my eyes to a few things, he always made sure that he listened to what I wanted and importantly what I needed. Budgets were kept to, timelines were kept to, and I was kept in the loop of the progress with regular pictures and messages. Delivery and installation was smooth, and nothing was too much trouble - for example, at the last minute I wanted a couple of holes drilled into the desk, and that was done without any issue whatsoever. I commissioned Philip to create built in wardrobes for our bedroom. His knowledge and understanding of how to create a practical yet beautiful solution really appealed to us. Throughout the initial consultation, design and build phases Philip kept us fully updated and made us really feel part of the process. His attention to detail and high level of craftsmanship encouraged us to extend the commission to a book case and matching TV unit for our living room and a large dining table. All had very different objectives but Philip managed to achieve the right look and feel of each item and they all have enhanced the rooms they are in.
