Pembrokeshire Pumpkin Farm

What a Rip off, the pumpkins are thrown off the back of a trailer for you to pick up off the floor, half are smashed due to obvious reasons, £20 for large, pumpkin, very dissapointing, we were there no longer than 20 mins.Website leads you to beleive these are grown on site...this is not the case.. No refund policy..Shocking expense in current climate..Update due to response..FirstlyThe young lad was throwing pumpkins for people to pick up, my self and others witnessed this.SecondlyI saw the young lad and an older person loading his trailer in a barn next to the stables we were in.ThirdlyI asked the young lad if we could walk and pick our own, his reply was no as they are grown elsewhere.FourthI did see some local produce, plus children singing, which was lovely, (honey, wreaths) couple of hot food stalls but not much else if im honest..FithThe childrens play area was ok, and a few decorations around the place wasnt bad, didnt really warrent the feeling of being ripped off.LastlyAs a disabled person, the lack of toilet facilities was just another blow to deal with,When talking to another local in town it was known about how dissapointing and expensive the whole eperiance was.I wish i had done my homework beforehand...

This is our third visit to the Pumpkin farm and we will be back.My kids love the place. The muddy puddles made their day.Can see the field has been picked over but was interesting to see some small ones growing on the plants that were still intact.A great way to spend an afternoon making memories.Well worth a visit.

Wonderful place to come for a Halloween pumpkin picking adventure. Lovely knowledgeable owners, good choice of pumpkins, excellent Halloween decorations and entertainment. The kids had a great time in the playground area as well as meeting the horse and pony and playing gourd noughts and crosses whilst eating tasty crepes. A lovely few hours happily spent.

I went to the pumpkin farm for the first time 2 years ago, I thought it was an amazing place for my first time pumpkin picking, they had 2 field full of pumpkins, some fair rides, bales for photos, a maze etc, I went this year of 2023 and I was highly disappointed, I payed £8 for parking(which I didn’t mind, the price had gone up since I last went) and payed £16 for 3 pumpkins, 2 small and 1 medium, there was only 1 field with pumpkins in there and not many at that, last time I was at the farm for 2+ hours, I was in and out within 20 minutes. I really was looking forward to my pumpkin picking tradition here , im so disappointed that it will be my last time to visit the farm!

Better than we expected. Although we left it late there were still pumpkins available and could talk to the owners to find out about the different ones. The boys loved the play area, and the singing skeleton.Could have gone to a supermarket but we had so much more fun here it was well worth it.

Now also has Sunflower farm which the kids loved. Thousands of flowers, really tall that they can run around the paths. Nice play area and picnic area too.

Excellent place to visit. Me and the wife enjoy taking the dog with us, grab a coffee a burger then pick a few pumpkins. Enjoyed a chat with the owner who's very down to earth and clearly puts her heart and soul into the business. We look forward to visiting again next year.

We visit the Pembrokeshire pumpkin farm this weekend. all I can say was WOW what an absolute disappointment., as a single parent of two and in today’s climate it takes a lot for me to save up to take my children to such attractions this year was the year I could actually take them to pick their own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch on a farm, so I thought I would stay local..now, I’m not naive I know that the pumpkins are going to be more expensive than supermarkets.so I made sure I factor this in before going . The pumpkins start at a pound and go up according to size and variety. 20 pounds being the most expensive.. when you get there it looks really good with the ghosts and ghouls all dotted down the driveway. We get to the main shed which look okish with its pyramid of pumpkins and dotted around the edges with a burger van. A sweetie van and a crepe van naturally, my children asked for a crepe. 16 pounds for 2.., we walked around the shed which had a couple of cubicles inside there was a lady doing Face Paintin another lady, doing Autumn door decorations and a group of children singing songs.. the singing was lovely by the way.. so we make our way to the pumpkin patch. My children are so excited. We get down there To be greeted with a rough field. With a teenager about 14 on a quad bike launching the pumpkins from his trailer around the field and he was flinging them like he could of be an Olympic shot Potter… so as you can imagine when they are hitting the floor they are becoming very badly damaged.. I get that you probably can’t walk round the actual pumpkin patch but these pumpkins should be out in that field before the public get there, and then carefully topped up throughout the day we got there for about 11 doors opened at 10:30 and the field was practically empty but badly damaged ones and as you are paying more for them, they should be treated with a bit more care.. whilst we were in the field, we heard a lady ask the young man if you could go on the actual field where are were grown he said no as they are not grown here.. so where are they grown? if this was the first year of trading I would understand a few teething problems but it’s been going for years so these problems should’ve been ironed out. Unfortunately, I Will not be returning for the sunflowers next year which is something else my children wanted to do..Updated Due to owners commentsI didn’t miss hear the young gentleman in the field. When he was talking toanother member the public as I was stood right next to his trailer with new pumpkins in, not rotten ones I know this because I was in two 2 minds whether to take my pumpkin out of his trailer rather than the floor plus I seen him loading them up, in the lean to next to the shed which is next to the one and only toilet but we won’t go into that one..All I was trying to say in my original post was it would’ve been better if the young man had already put all these pumpkins out well before the public had arrived the field looked bare when me and my children got there which was only half an hour after you opened. It wasn’t busy at this point..And don’t we all wish we could grow things in a sterile and weed free environment as I said I’m not naive I have been around farms and crops the majority of my life and all of my children’s lives so I know how hard it is living locally, and in the current climates, so I will be declining your offer of watching you drill the seeds in AprilBut thanks all the same….
