Caffe Centro Edinburgh
Food was really good but the server made a mistake with our order and then blamed us for this, she continued and was extremely rude. Never have I ever been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant. They were talking about us behind the bar to which we could hear and they were not bothered. Each time the server walked past she would glare at us so as soon as we finished we went to the bar, paid and left. Nice place to eat if you don’t mind being treated like nothing.

Had lunch with grandkids based on reviews here - not disappointed. Comprehensive menu and friendly service. Pizzas are very large and extremely tasty. My wife and I had pasta dishes and salad which were excellent, and much larger portions than we expected. Overall excellent value ( much better than the chains ) with friendly and efficient service. Will be back as deserts look very nice.

Wow what find...food was amazing, was not rushed. Staff left you alone to enjoy your meal and not asked if all OK when you take your first bite...Great value for money. Lasagne and ravioli with salad and garlic bread ⁹

A great little place for fabulous Italian food. Very tasty pizza and great service in a clean, comfy and modern environment. Not a huge amount of vegetarian options, but what there is was lovely. Highly recommended!

Caffe Centro on George St. is a basic pizzeria with outdoor seating. It’s small and cozy with a serviceable bar. No frills with bare decorations. The menu is sufficient with the usual starters, pizza, pasta and dessert. It reminds me of a small family run pizzeria which produces the few dishes cooked exactly the same way for generations. The dishes had the feel of home cooked comfort food. Exactly what I needed. Rustic cooking, easy atmosphere and good drinks.Started with passion fruit martini. It was delicious! It came with a glass of prosecco on the side. Sip the martini and then add some prosecco to the drink to dilute the sweetness. Very interesting.Starter was prawns in tomato sauce. The prawns were medium sized and were fresh and cooked just right. Sauce was very good with just the right thickness to coat the prawns.Seafood pasta was huge. Loaded with fresh mussels, prawns and squid. It was delicious with the pasta picking up all the sauce. The portion is big enough for sharing.Pizza was as expected and was very good as well. Another huge portion. The dessert was stunningly huge! Affogato. Two giant scoops of ice cream and freshly brewed cappuccino to be poured on top. It looked so good! Impressive. This is a good place to come for home cooked comfort meals. Portions are huge. Come hungry!

Excellent food with a great atmosphere. Reasonably priced and a good service.Only reason it’s 4 stars is because they add a service charge, which I personally don’t like as I like to tip what I feel is the correct amount, without it being automatically added. It’s a personal thing, but takes away from the experience.Meals are £9.50 for Pizza and £10-12 for other mains.Beers are £5.50 for a pint.Edit: Caffe Centro contacted me to let me know there isn’t a service charge.I can 100% state there is.
