Lower Precinct Car Park

No signage to say pay meters do not automatically work so you have to manually input your arrival time, I put mine 5 minutes before my acctualy arrival but the pay machine and cameras are not in sync.I appealed a £60 fine including copy of receipt but just got an automatic response saying it had been declined, I was actually in the time I had been charged for by 7 seconds to be picky!I also double checked my reg was in putted properly but is missing. A diget on receipt.You cannot directly contact UkPC and tgey are purely a profit making company, be warned.

Be careful with that parking. I was there for 2 hours and when I wanted to get out the machine was asking me how long i parked . How I suppose to remember how long I have been there . I put 2h and I pay 2 pound right , after one week I got penalty. I have to pay 60 pound within 14 days or will be 100 pounds. They don't try to fix those problems , The first problem machine don't accept coins . 2 don't show how much I need to pay . And 3 problem I was waiting in the queue to get out . Later I have to pay 100 pound . I don't know how win this case with them . Any one have the same situation in that parking .

Interesting to see these reviews. I was fined a few months ago for apparently not paying. I paid cash so couldn't prove it & ended up paying the £60 fine as couldn't face the stress of fighting it. I had contacted the carpark who looked into it but just believed UKPC & referred me back to them. They weren't interested when I pointed out the machine wasn't giving out receipts. I haven't been to this carpark or city centre since. My advice - avoid this carpark or if you do use it then pay by card

This car park has gone down hill since UKPC took over, you may think the price is cheap but they will sting you in other ways - wardens patrol the car park purposely to find reasons to fine you. £100 is the fine discounted" to £60 if paid in 14 days. So save yourself the headache and park somewhere else. Hopefully when Coventry City council buy back lower precinct

Will never park here again. My car reg was not recognised when I went to pay upon leaving. Spoke to someone through the intercom for some advice. They advised me to enter my details manually eg. Registration, time of arrival and departure. I said I wasn’t sure of the exact time I had arrived. The employee told me to just add a rough time as it didn’t matter. I did as instructed, paid and left. Two weeks later I got a fine for £60 for non payment.I appealed and sent off a copy of the receipt. They sent another letter saying I still had to pay the £60 as I hadn’t quite paid for the whole generation I was there!! If their machines worked properly I wouldn’t have had to guess my arrival time. I feel very much like I have been conned. The employee I spoke to contributed to the issue. I even contacted the car park management team and they said they couldn’t do anything. So really won’t appreciate them responding to this review asking me to DM them to make themselves to appear concerned or in the least bit helpful. Avoid here at all cost. There are plenty more car parks to chose from.

Same as other reviews really. Sister parked here a while back. Paid cash. No receipt and had to pay £60 fine.Fraudulent company as others have said but as she can't prove it she is £60 put of pocket.Reviewed here before. They always respond in the same way as you can see but when she contacted them they still made her pay. I haven't been to town since. Carparks like this put people off shopping in Coventry.***stop acting like you will help and then we contact you and you don't! Frauds.

Cannot thank the security team and management at Lower Precinct enough. Involved in a car accident and all of the information I needed was passed to me quickly. The security team are absolutely lovely and an asset to the shopping centre. Thank you to Nicola for her organisation, help and the amazing team

Easy to park, you can park car under roof, paperless and quite cheap during the weekends:)

DO NOT PARK HERE!!!I parked here and paid and left without note, few weeks later I received a fine through the post, Initially I thought it was a mistake but apparently I had parked with my cars nose overhanging into the yellow area at the front of the parking bay which incurred a fine.I drive an estate and it was impossible to have parked any closer behind me due to the wall and while admittedly my car is larger than the average it's by no means one of the biggest on the market I appealed in detail and made note that there is no signage or obvious markings on the floor to advise and also appealed on the basis that the small spaces simply aren't suitable for estates if there is to be strict rules regarding overhang.I waited nearly a month to be told the fine still stood and that I could further appeal via an Independent" company that when you look into is actually funded by private parking firms in the UK or the UK ombudsman ( Which they aren't signed up with so you can't really)The only other option is judicial via court which lets be honest... no-one is going to want to deal with....In short it's a racket

A good location to your car when you need to stop by a few hours in Coventry town centre. Indoor car parking costs £1 per hour. You can pay at a physical machine using cards, or pay using PayByPhone app. Once you've parked your car, you are within a few minutes of walking distance to places like Wetherspoon, Bistrot Pierre, Coventry Cathedral, the Ruins, Coventry Cross, and others.
