Handsome Hounds
We acquired my sister's little dog who has never been professionally groomed and is 11 years of age! She's so terrified the only times they have tried, she's got herself into such a state, the groomers cdn't proceed. After a couple of years attempting to keep on top of her wirey fur with scissors, whilst she protested, we'd had enough. After reading the reviews, we thought we'd give Handsome Hounds a go and we're so glad we did! They said they wd go gently and started with a bath, but before we knew it, she had been trimmed and looks lovely! We'll definitely go there again!

We've been taking our dog, Toby, for a while now and wouldn't use anyone else. They are so lovely and he always looks (and smells!) amazing afterwards. Would definitely recommend!

My long haired dog needed a trim and tidy up. After visiting Handsome Hounds she looks amazing, beautiful trim around the paws, trousers" (bum & back legs) and ears and she smells amazing! She certainly looked pleased with herself when she was collected!"

We have a very anxious spaniel and feel he is safe with Sue and her ladies. It’s quite traumatic for him to go to the groomers.

I recently took on a rescue cross breed poodle x schitzu, from the RSPCA. He appeared to be a sweet. Unloved dog, but with one major fault. He bit anyone who tried to make him do anything. Nothing,not even food would persuade him to. I brought him to her and on the first grooming she did have to muzzle him,but ever since.she grooms him as a normal well adjusted dog.Sue and Amanda are in a league of their own. All my dogs have been cockers, and she has treated them all excellently, warts and all.thank you. Eavon

Just got poppy back from having her hair cut..... it looks like a kid had done it I think I might over been able to do a better job, she has long hairs and sticky out patches and generally all over steps in ther coat where the scissors have cut chunks out. I know I won't be taking her again, also her appointment was for 11.00 and at 12.00 called in to see if she was done only to be told they hadn't started on her I eventually picked her up at 1.45 nearly 3 hours not good.

The best, I would only ever leave my 2 rescues with Sue & co as she is kind, gentle & caring to both my dogs, the first time I took my 2nd rescue she was shaking all over & didnt want to be left, 10 minutes with Sue & she was fine, both happily get groomed with Sue & I am happy that they are happy! Thoroughly recommend.

They are the best dog grooming and washing service in the local area. I love their level of care for the dogs, you can tell they really love animals. Really nice people!
