Thank you for taking the time to read my stupendous review on Joe's craftsmanship.Joe is very tenacious and meticulous along with taking great pride in his work (have to say over the years I have commissioned many tradesmen and so many of them just do not take pride in their work!).I cannot say how happy I am with my superbly built 4 door wardrobes with 3 chunky deep filled drawers, along with a vanity desk with 2 drawers and a floor to ceiling headboard statement piece.The attention to detail that Joe has given throughout this project has just made me so happy and also filled me with hope that there are still some exemplary good tradesmen out there!We first discussed ideas and designs and Joe went away and inputted our ideas into a CAD diagram which really did help me choose the final design.Joe was able to provide an estimate which included all the materials required and have to say the estimate was a realistic one and pretty much came in at the same value! There were no hidden costs or any last minute of being asked for more money.Joe provides you with an update at the end of each day, and he never leaves you not knowing on what is happening with your project and what will be taking place the next day. Joe so offers you exemplary customer service and is a really nice polite guy to talk to.My wardrobes are built so sturdy and solid and look absolutely stunning and will be standing for many years to come!Thank you Joe, you are the best carpenter out there!

Joe did a great job repairing an old wooden armchair of mine. Very responsive and pleasant to deal with, as well as good value. Strongly recommended.

Seagull Carpentry helped us with the design and installation of a bespoke shelving unit in our office unit. The communication was regular and prompt, and the finished product looks great and is high quality, robust and a great use of space. The installation was efficient and left clean and tidy.

We were one of Joe’s first customers in summer 2023. Joe was very patient with us as we kept changing our mind on the design before we signed on the line. Joe has the option to use a third party wood cutting service for the larger pieces, so it was important that we got the design right.We found Joe to be very friendly. He clearly enjoys getting to know his clients and loves to stop for a chat. He is very open that a key driver for the change of career to set up his own carpentry business was for a better work life balance, therefore he did not arrive at our house stupidly early, he took a proper lunch break and he didn’t work too late into the evening. This suited our family life.Joe openly acknowledges that he is still learning his trade, which includes knowing all the questions to ask and how long things will take him. The built in storage wall he built for us took a bit longer than he and we anticipated. With hindsight there are a couple of things that we might have been done differently, but all in all we are pleased with our new storage and the value and service that we got with Joe and Seagull Carpentry. We are happy to recommend Joe and we would use him again.

Joe did a small job for my mum last week. He responded quickly to her message, when other companies didn’t. He came, looked and helped my mum find a work top. He then fitted it to a very high standard and completed the job without any trouble or mess. Joe was professional, helpful, friendly and I would highly recommend him for jobs big or small. My mum was very pleased with him and will use him again.
