This review is 99% about Daisy. Daisy is such a nice, genuine and helpful person. I’m a “semi” disabled guy in his 40s and I get embarrassed very easily if I need help from strangers. Daisy made me feel like a normal person. and I felt like I’d know her for years. She is a credit to the store but more so to herself. She 100% deserves a special bonus, paid day off, thank you gift etcThanks again Daisy. You’re an amazing person.

I visited the York Decathlon and bought an electric bike in February. John in the workshop really helpful and knowledge. Based on the great service we had from John, when we decided to get a bike for my wife we visited Decathlon again today. John sorted us out again, and built a bike up for my wife to try while we went shopping. Great service from Decathlon and a big shout out to John.

Store is spacious and caters to all sports pretty much. Kids shoe collections are amazing with reasonable prices. Staff are excellent and eager to help. Reasonably priced sport goods with good durability and reliability.

Came in yesterday with a friend because we had some time to kill and I often camp so like looking at new equipment, only to be met with the security guard asking both me and him if we were with our parents because you don’t accept people under 18 without an adult. As we are both over 18, we were asked to show ID which my friend hadn’t brought as he expected not to be buying anything, only to be told that next time we better bring ID.We personally would’ve expected some sort of sign stating this rule rather than being expected to show proof of ID at the door, making us only uncomfortable and like an inconvenience as we walked through the shop.

Fantastic service from Daisy at Decathlon York! My wife and I came in to look at bikes and neither of us know much about cycling. Daisy talked us through everything we needed to know, helped us select a bike, measured us for helmets, and got us set up with all the essentials for starting cycling. She was really knowledgeable and friendly throughout, and she was very patient and engaging with our toddler. We are very happy with our purchase and would thoroughly recommend Decathlon.
