Great shop, I have not bought anything yet. Mainly because they have so many books. I need to make a note of what books I already have and go in there with that list.I will probably come out with a shelf full or two.

I took some books in to donate and was shouted at that she didn’t want them. Not felt so belittled in a long time. Rude and abrupt. So I took them to banardos who were happy to take them

Excellent stock of books, but I was taken aback by the rudeness of the manager when I brought in a bag of books to donate. Very grudgingly he took the bag. This is not the first time this has happened and Oxfam needs to understand that without donations these bookshops would not exist. Another member of staff explained that their stockroom was very full etc. but this does not excuse such graceless behaviour.
