We were invited to take some Alpacas to Marriott House to interact with the residents.Such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were extremely friendly..Alpacas and residents enjoyed their visit.

Barchester - Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Resident probably was never been taken to shower. New care home assistant told that she has a lot of skin problems, because of lack hygiene.Also you have to wait for 15-20min when call bell. What if person fall on the floor and no one is coming so long?And that is not only our opinion, we spoke with families of other residents. They told as exatly the same.

Barchester Care Homes are a cut above, and Marriott House and Lodge is no exception. The facilities are absolutely first class in a spectacular setting. It is beautifully put together and very well run by a team of carers and professionals. Entertainment and activities are provided on a regular basis and are excellent.

The staff could not be better. Caring and willing to listen. Only complaint would be that the food, when delivered to the Lodge, is warm" at best. Such a shame.."

I can not believe my Dad has been at the Lodge for a year. I love visiting, not just to see Pops but all the staff too. My sausage dog Arti (especially) and I get spoilt rotten, as if we were residents. The food is amazing, just like my Great Aunt used to make. I recommend any visitor find out what's on the menu the day before and join in for lunch. It's £3.50 for a main, pud and a glass of wine!All the staff from management to housekeepering are welcoming, upbeat and willing to help no matter how big or small the problem. I worked at Marriott House as a nurse for nearly 5 year's I have never worked with a more caring group of people in my forty years of nursing the team go beyond the call of duty and clearly love supporting the residents they have a wonderful sense of humour and I can only say it's a great place to work or place a elderly person with full confidence they will be taken very good care of

Barchester - Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Mum has been at Marriott House for almost four weeks, having been sent there on discharge from hospital. A very traumatic time for family, especially as Mum has dementia and doesn’t always understand what’s happening. Specially modified ‘settling in’ visits were in place due to Covid. The staff have been brilliant: calm, patient and caring. The room and communal areas are clean and beautifully presented, the food is varied, well cooked and always plated up beautifully. The manager ensures we are looked after as well as Mum and we are kept well informed of any changes.

Came to teach some fun, exercise to some of the residents at Marriott Lodge which they all seemed to enjoy. Was welcomed by both staff & residents & am looking forward to coming back for more laughs & SMILES. Thanks guys

10th August 2023We had a delightful visit from residents of Marriott House and their chaperone's to Bracklesham Bay Tearooms & Garden.It was lovely to hear the group of ladies all engaged in cheerful chatter while they enjoyed their cream teas & slices of cake in the sunshine.The members of staff assisted the ladies calmly and professionally with the utmost of care. And top marks to the minibus driver who effortlessly navigated our small carpark!Hope to see you again.

Barchester - Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
My dance pupils performed here and the staff were so lovely, accommodating and welcoming. The dining room where we performed was beautiful and it looked like a 5 star hotel with all the beautiful chandeliers. A lovely atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and caring staff.
