We stopped as we were driving nearby for lunch on a ThursdaySurprised to see quite a few other people.Food: you have to try the roasted monkfish, definitely worth the higher priceDrinks: good selection of cider and beer on tapAtmosphere: seating out front and on the grass behind over looking the village sports field, in a lovely village. Inside decor nicely done up.Staff: friendly and helpful

Very friendly staff and very quick service even though it was busy. We sat out the front of the pub in their beer garden, which had an excellent view of the cricket match that was being played opposite the pub. We were there at a Sunday lunch time and we had the roast dinners. The food was well presented, good portion size and very delicious. It’s a very dog friendly pub and I would definitely go again.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Really great team running the pub and exquisite food - there was a group of 10 of us including young children, babies and dogs, and it was suitable for all of us. Thoroughly recommend.

Stopped by whilst travelling home. An excellent pub with a great view of the cricket club. Food was amazing.Gammon was thick and tasty and the Venison/ apricot pie was fantastic.Friendly and quick service from the staff.Will definitely stop by in the future. Thank you.

The food was incredible. One of the best pub meals I've had in ages... the venison starter, bavette steak and rum baba were all lovely. Service was great,and it was pretty reasonably priced (200 quid for four of us, 3 courses and two bottles of wine) The pub itself is very pretty too. all decked out in Xmas lights. Would recommend

A large group of us booked last weekend end for lunch they were very helpful and accommodating .I had the meat free Sunday lunch which was delicious .it was not a large menu but our group managed to find things to eat, puddings were delicious as well. Sorry no photos as I ate it so quickly. Definitely worth a visit.

A good mix of county pub and county restaurant. Menu is really good with some top notch restaurant offerings at restaurant prices. Then pub classic options at more pub prices. All in a great setting village wise, lovely interior décor, and good quality friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.
