Linfords Fish and Chips Stanground
Perfectly cooked fish and chips are one of my favorite things about England. Tender and juicy cod covered in crispy batter with mushy peas is a meal sent from heaven!! Add a little spicy mustard and hot sauce alongside a cold beer and I'm a very happy man. I definitely recommend eating at Linfords, whether you are local or live 50 miles away!

Until recently I used to travel from Hampton to Stanground to get my fish and chips. I roughly eat them every two weeks or so. Unfortunately my last two experiences have been poor and I am unlikely to shop there again. On both occasions the batter was overcooked and hard, but the most disappointing thing is the deterioration of service provided by the young staff at the counter. Compared to the happy, chatty welcome I have received in the past from different staff, I felt like an inconvenience and was not made to feel welcome. Such a shame as I really enjoyed going there for fish and chips.

Single order for standard portion of chips with 2 sausage n batter. Chips looked very plain in colour (no crispness as would expect) basically looked Albino. Would be better if cooked longer. Sausages n batter were awesome. Crispy n tasty. Scraps very nice. Reasonable prices. Good customer service overall

I had one of their lunchtime specials: fish, chips, mushy peas and a buttered roll.Well-cooked, plentiful & good value.Shame Bristol Rovers lost 2-0 to Peterborough Utd. later, but at least I was well-fed!
